Audio/NAV question

Okay, I tried a search, but really came up with nothing so I thought I'd ask.

IF.... I have a DVD playing for the kids and they are using the IR headsets, can I listen to music up front? I looked through the OM and really didn't discover any new info. Also, if one kid is watching a video, can the other play Wii or watch something else via the USB port? AND (last one I promise!) How do I put videos on a USB device? (Thumb drive, Ipod or Ipad)

BTW, I LOVE this thing! It has more STUFF in it than I have in my house! I really like the live weather and traffic. Great to have on those long trips I plan on taking! (Atlanta to Yellowstone this summer)

- I do not believe you can play video via a USB device besides maybe an iPod.
- Yes, there is a way to turn off the rear speakers so the kids only listed to movies thru the headphones. Your music then would play on the front speakers
- in terms of having two different feeds on each of the monitors, that I am not sure, I have a Platinum Armada. hopefully someone with a 2011 QX56 can chime in.

Limited answers, but here they go...
1. If DVD plays and kids use IR headsets, xm/radio can be played up front -- however, cannot play stored music
2. In terms of inputs, yes, the two kids can watch/do different things, however, it would have to go thru the AUX behind the center console at the base

I've got nothing on the USB videos, however, it seems like you should be able to.

Thanks for the answers. I *think* i got it figured out. It sucks you have to have the P brake on for the front screen to work. I know there is discussion on how to bypass this, but I reall don't want to go cutting wires on a car with less than 100 miles on it! Think I'll just wait. I'm going to rent a movie on my Ipad tomorrow and see if I can get it to play via the usb connector. Stay tuned for updates.

It really is a simple mod, it is also not very invasive. The mod allows you to keep a totally stock position at the flip of a switch.
