Audio & Map Controls - Voice & Wheel

Hi.

I just got a 2012 g37xs coup! I have a few questions about operating the audio & map controls from the wheel and using voice. Hope one of you seasoned vets can help me. Sorry, I'm pretty new to this stuff - so my question may not make sense :-)

Audio & wheel control:
1) When I'm playing music (usb/iphone), I know I can change tracks, and volum from the wheel, but is there way I can pause the music from the wheel control?
2) I can use the enter key to go up/down but is there a way to go side-ways :-) selecting a button to the right?

Map & wheel control:
I can't figure out a way to control the map from the wheel (I don't think there are any controls for that). Is there a way for example to stop the route guidance from the wheel? or voice control?

Voice control:
I find that the voice control is only good for 'Destination Home' :-) I haven't been able to successfully use it for anything else. I maybe missing something:
a) when I say audio, it won't list the usb...it lists just about everything else (my iphone is connected). I thought maybe there is way to extend its choices?
b) when I say address, I always I have to start from state/province (is there way to set a default)?
c) I'm used to google map...that does an integrated search. For example, I can say deep-cove park and it knows where it is...can the car's navigation system do the same?

Software update:
Do you guys update your map data? when?
Is the car's dash-software updatable? do you get notifications?

Your best bet is to consult the Nav manual for your year.

While I like the Infiniti Nav functionality I think the voice controls really suck. The voice controls on my Garmin that I use in my other G works great!
