Audio issues

Has anyone encountered any problems with a loss of audio on the 2006 M35x with the journey and technology package? My problems started when the dealer replaced the cd unit to address a noisy bluetooth problem. The navi system was replaced on Friday and now the audio (irrespective of source; disc, radio, satellite) cuts out after anywhere from 15 seconds to a couple of hours. The dealership says I need to come back which is a six hour round trip. I would like to know if anyone else has had the problem and what the cure is before I give up another day to take the car for service.
