i was listening to a CD in the car and went over some train tracks and all the audio shifted to the right side of the car..so i did the cave man move and kind of gave the head unit a light punch from the side...it came back..and then it happened again when i made a right turn...did the cave man move again..it was all back to normal..also the audio has never shifted to the left...and its only one the CD function does this happen..on radio and tape and SAT..its all good..

might something be not plugged in correctly in the rear of the head unit? (the dealership had to take apart the center console to fix something that was wrong with my shifter when i got in an accident)...

any suggestions as to whats wrong?

Probably exactly what you suspect...either take it to the dealer or pull the console apart and check the connections. We have FSMs that you can use (link in my sig for g-series FAQ)
