Hi, I have an 04G356mt without the Satellite option and I would like to use the satellite connector in the trunk for alternative audio input like from an mp3 player or other source. I have the service manual with schematic diagrams and I can see the audio inputs and data I/O lines from the satellite connector to the audio module. When I press the SAT button on the dash it says " NO SAT" and it is probably detecting that there is nothing plugged into the Satellite connector. I assume I have to enable those audio and data inputs and that the audio module detects when there is a satellite module installed. There is one more line on the connector which is labeled REQ which I am guessing is a line that enables the satellite audio and data inputs. Can anyone verify that? and if so if I put +12v or possibly ground the REQ pin will that enable those inputs? If I had a schematic of the satellite receiver I could probably figure it out.I am an electronics engineer and I'm sure I could make this work with just a little more data and I'm wondering if anyone could help. Thanks in advance

if you want a peice that is already made, PAC has a aux input for your car.

I have used this one before, and it works perfect.

Thanks, that's a good alternative if I can't get the info to do it myself.
