I was just wondering if anyone could answer this for me. I just bought a new 2009 Versa with the stereo controls on the steering wheel. I will be buying a better sound system for the car. Will the wheel mounted controls still work with an aftermarket CD player??

Yes, you have to buy an adapter. Your local car audio store (NOT BB or CC) will have what you need.

I know PAC makes one as well as a few others.

Update: Peripheral # PESWIPS is what you need

If I remember correctly, they are 6 1/2" speakers.

Yup, if you check Crutchfield, BB, or CC it'll show you the speaker sizes...6 1/2" which I find is pretty standard on most cars nowadays.

Correct; BUT you need adapters to easily/properly install new speakers in the V.

I have a set of 4 adapter that I didn't use (just sold the car) and they're yours for $30 shipped.

Let me know if anyone wants them.

When I put speakers in my V I didnt have to put in adapters at all.

Although, the shop did say something about over sized speakers???
