Bought an 08 G35 sedan 9K miles on it. Navi, premium package.

its has navi but also has a 6 disc changer in the back. Love the car but I try to use the 6 disc changer and I can only hear very faint music if it is turned ALL the way up. Clearly something is wrong. So I go and pull out some of the clips holding the turn matting in where the changer is mounted and discover this:

My question is what is that thing that says "Boston" on it between the changer and the factory amp?

I know the previous owner had a sub and amp in the back. So is this "boston" thing aftermarket?

If it is not aftermarket how screwed am I in how short they cut the wires off?

Does anyone recognize any of this?

Also please let me know if you can see these drawings

Your pictures are not showing. But sounds like somebody messed with the system and you need to get an amp working.

Boston acoustics is a decent brand...I'd try and reseat or re-terminate all the connections.
