Ok..I had the M35 for 3 years, loved the car...but lacked the stupid $3 3.5mm aux jack for my mp3 player. Now I move on to the G37 2011 and there is only USB. I found and bought a 3.5mm to USB cable thinking it would work to stream Pandora from my droid phone, like I can do with every cheap rental car I have ever driven. I cant get this to work. When I hook up the phone and put on the "aux" I see nothing, nothing happens. Anyone have a solution to this issue?

Thanks.

I don't know if the 2011 has the RCA inputs...but that's what I use on my SUV. You could always use bluetooth...just need an adapter that fits on the iPod connector.

steveg - i don't believe your solution will work, this is meant for a computer which has the drivers to recognize the input. you can keep checking but i really don't think it's possible.

i second joe603, just go for a bluetooth adapter if you do not have the RCA jacks in your armrest.

Here's a work around - at least for IPhone (need to be able to have two applications open at same time).

1. Begin playing a tune downloaded to the IPod application, with phone hooked up to USB.
2. Pause the song
3. Open Pandora and start playing

Does yhour droid stream audio via bluetooth. The 2011 can have audio streamed through bluetooth to play ont he speakers. May want to give it a try. When pairing the phone pair it as an audio device instead of a phone.

Anybody found a solution for this yet? I have a 2010 G37x and Bluetooth audio streaming only comes with the Navigation system, which I do not have. There has to be a product out there that can emulate an iPod or USB flash drive and provide 3.5mm audio input or Bluetooth audio streaming input capability. Clearly there's some market for it...

Streaming in Pandora would be cool- but so far I'm happy with a $7 jump drive full of tunes plugged into the USB. It does seem weird to me they skipped including a simple analog input.

I do not find an AUX input - Is there one ? I can only find in the armrest RCA and Apple connector (additional cable(
The Bluetooth adapters - those have to be A2DP ?

Has anyone found a solution for this? Thinking of buying a 2012 model..I can't believe they don't include a 3.5mm audio input. It would suck not to be able to stream Pandora, etc. If anyone knows a workaround please let me know!

Fezzlk....I've had my droid paired as a phone, and even though my pandora settings is has bluetooth on, it's never worked although my phones navigations sometimes comes thru. If I pair my cell as an audio device will i have any issues keeping it as a phone as well?

No. That is how i paired mine. Give it a try and see. wont really hurt anything to try it at home and call your cell while playing music through bluetooth.

Try this- get a small FM transmitter-connects to the 3.5mm cable, set the frequency you chose on transmitter and tune in your radio. Works fine with my Blackberry and Slacker, just keep a couple of spare batteries or rechargeables :dblthumb: handy for long trips(usually AAA).

KoupeKid - did your solution work?

shockdoc81 - FM Transmitter's are crap! Sounds is TERRIBLE and eats up batteries.
