audio control problem

[03 G35 sedan]

i have an 03 G35, having a problem with the control screen and control buttons for the radio and heat and air buttons. screen for radio is out, have no control of radio from the panel but i can control everything from my steering wheel. The heat and air display shows up top in screen but i have no control of the functions with buttons. If anyone has any idea whats going on or if i need to take it to dealer, please let me know. thank you for any information.....

Usually those face plates go defective. You can buy a afternarket one on ebay called Metra. Or find a used one factory one on Ebay . They are easy to replace...i would recomend checking the 3 fuse boxes. One in cab; one under hood; one fuse box behind battery, however its probably going to be the face plate. Infiniti is known for defective plates.

Actually, because you have an 03, my money is on a faulty circuit board shared by the head deck and AC. Try these guys for a repair:

Yes, the 2003 and 2004 have issues with faulty boards. Not a fun deal but it's happened quite often and it should be well documented.
