Audio AUX port

Unlike my newer Rogue, my wife's Altima (2008) does not have a USB port for playing MP3 files from a USB Memory Stick, Only the AUX in.
As I understand the function of the Aux In plug - female, it requires a device such as a MP3 player, iPad, etc to function.

Is there a device that would function as an interface between the USB stick and the Aux port that would allow me to play the files without buying a new radio that has a USB port?

That will absolutely not work. Its not the same data or electrical signal format. Read the reviews on the product, all of the 5 star reviews are clearly fake.
