Audi to use the Q badge

Audi is coming out with a new SUV which will be badged the Q7. How dare to they use the Q name. Here's the autoweek article.

That giant split grille actually looks decent on the Q7 -- I always thought it was goofy on their sedans.From the side and back, the new A4 looks a lot like the G50. That, and their spectacular art museum interiors, are what I love about them.

A shame theyre built like VWs.

Except for the higher belt line, there's a lot of G50 Q45 in this angle of the A4:

Audi copied the '04 Acura 1.7EL for the A4 and new Jetta, exact same lines, rear light treatment and shape. I guess to most of the world its a new design, but in Canada and in Japan, we've already seen it.

I wish I could find my digital camera to click a pick of my Acura to show the similiarities.

Well, maybe Infiniti let the Qxx registration lapse after all. Then again, maybe they didn't protect the Qx (single digit following the Q) use.

Hello Carlos, anyone listening back at Infiniti HQ? Stange that Audi thinks the Q model designation is worthy of a new model but Nissan does not.
