I was thinking about the same company, but diffrent item, I have similar strip inside as footwell lighting and it is not bright enough. I know they do make two style of LED: SMD and other, but from their auction picture it is not the bright ones. For my interior I bought these: http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/led/LE5017.htm and wired them on both sides (driver and passenger) into the ECU so they turn on with any door open. For DRL I was considering these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-A5- ... ccessories sice they are much brighter, but at the end I bought http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... _A|GRP2027____ from Advance Auto Parts with in store pickup and whole bunch of other stuff using coupon codes:
$25 off $60 w/coupon code "BIG25", = 41.67% off
$30 off $75 via coupon code "BIG30", = 40% off
$40 off $100 w/coupon code "BIG40" = 40% off
& get $50 off $200 via coupon code "BIG50" = 25% off
so they ended up being $12.98 after discount I was able to put together $61.05 worth of product, but paid $38.21 after the discount...

So I powered up the Advance Auto Parts LED 12 LED lamp DRLs and they don't seem to have the lights bright enough, I do not know how to compare it to some other ones since nobody in my neighborhood has the LED DRLs, but I found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT which can be probably soldered into the housing yielding definitely more light output and wider angle since most of LEDs are 15k mcd and 25 degree viewing angle, but these are 60 degree angle and 100k mcd with 8000k light color which matches my HID headlights... They have only 20 and 50 packs and the DRLs are 24 total so I'll have one set left over, maybe we can team up together and order it for two people... (given they'll work in those lamps. It seams they have resistors build in the lamps, but if they are not enough LEDs come with them anyway so I can solder them in too...
