The Super Bowl Audi commercial... anyone see it?

WTF are they thinking? If it was a joke, BOO HISS, Audi. Driving one never felt so good? Because it's "green" like all the other non freedom loving sh*t they showed?

If this douchebaggery continues, I am going to have to bail and go to a country where choice is still appreciated and one group's ideals are not forced on the public as law.

I can dream, can't I?

Bex and I watched that commercial, looked at each other, and said... "That's where we're headed."

Denny's one was the best.

On the Audi one I thought it was funny how at the end the green cop said to the other cop "step out of the car and put it on the hood" as he points to the roof of the car. . .

The Volkswagen punch buggy commercial was pretty funny, with Stevie Wonder.

I used to think my friend was just a conspiracy theory nut when he was talking all this "green" advertising crap in order to pass cap and trade. Maybe he was onto something.

If I wanted a green car I'd be driving an MR-2 Spyder with a 6spd and 2zz swap. Those guys are reporting a healthy 35ish mph on the highway. Some even a bit higher.

Either that or this. Looks green to me!

You guys are getting off the point:

The point is all the cops in the commercial arresting people for ridiculous things and Audi agreeing with this and then showcasing their car at the front of all this nonsense.

that commercial is pretty retarded, but they have their bases covered. Does driving a TDI audi make a bigger impact than using plastic bottles? yes. Does driving a TDI Audi make a bigger impact than using incandescent lightbulbs? yes.

Commercial was retarded.

lol Diesel is not "green". It's made from the same oil used in gasoline! Sure, the emissions are lower, but that's only because the smoke is so damn heavy it sinks down to the ground and contaminates the ground later...

That commercial (like almost all the commercials) was just terrible.

I liked how the "green police" didn't all drive hybrid or diesel vehicles.. lame.

I'd like to think the American public will not stand for tree hugger naziism on that level... let's hope it doesn't happen.

I know one thing for sure... I'll never get arrested for throwing a battery in the trash or installing an incandescent light bulb.. My arrest will be for assault and battery after I beat the ever loving piss out of the libby who tries to arrest me for not being green.

Diesel is made from periwinkles and emits glitter out of the tailpipe.

The people that want this stuff know better than to force it on us at once. It starts out with small things like taxes and regulation and ends up that way.

If you don't like something make your voice heard. Remember who proposed what on election day.

I thought it was rather amusing

BUT it is quite unfortunate that this is a likely reality if we continue to go this direction, I am all for saving the planet but s***...

They should offer an "emissions fail" sticker where you can fail emissions but pay an extra yearly fee? That fee can go towards planting trees in your state, actually I kinda like that idea.
