hehe mine is broken too. definitely from my sub box hitting it while offroading. one time i was hitting a particularly hard set of whoops, and i look in my mirror to see my sub box jumping so high that it was hitting the ceiling.

now i keep the sub box strapped down... but my 3rd brake lite is busted as well as all the trunk plastics.

This plastic piece can be bought from the dealer pretty cheap. I want to say I had to order it for under $30. Yes its plastic but any other fix you try will result in failure. Duct tape included.

IMO, I think it would look much cleaner if you got rid of the vertical lights, and just lined the bottoms. I see quite a few people nowadays going this route. Congrats for doing something different. Its hard to do so these days, even harder with a R50 since there isn't really much for us to do anyways.

It's about function, not appearance.

If it make the truck work better, cool, If it just make it look different, YAWN

WOW, you must be the pathfinder god. all hail the pathfinder god.

who gives a s*** what your pathfinder tows and what nalas doesn't? post up some pics of your setup because i bet it looks retarded. get a proper tow rig, not a coil-sprung short wheelbase underpowered minivan.

x2 for both of those points.

Anybody else think this would look better on pathfinder headlights? You know, because they're not so boxy?

for the pathfinder lights I would do more of an upper eyebrow, and have it contour to that "dip" by the top right or left grill. I have had a lot of comments over the "audi" lights. Some girl at school was like, I like your new lights lol

I think Nala did okay with the lights. I'm not calling them Audi lights because they don't resemble them in the slightest. The tails on the other hand are the ugliest tails I've ever seen and completely rice out his mom's QX4. I don't know what's worse, his current tails or the solid black ones with the fake CF tape.

Let's not kid ourselves, minivans have much more interior space.

Nala, you should have wired them so that they are on even with the parking lights off, like a real Audi has. They were originally supposed to be used for DRL's, yours are just parking lights. They should be wired so that they are on whenever the headlamps are off.

They are not bright enough to be used as DRL's, there as bright as the parking lights. Also, I still have my tinted tails. The buyer never responded after I told him the shipping to Ontario is $28.75

Personally I like your old tails better the tinted look matched the gold nicely. BUT I now you recieved a few tickets for it and functionality is always a greater cause.

Have you thought about trying to remove a few layers of that tint?

That is of course if you dont like your new tails. Otherwise keep what makes you happy.

LOL

you bought the tail lights that I've had for years and now everyone is ripping on them. If you like them than I suggest you get some silicone and reseal your tails even if they haven't fogged yet because they most likely will. This is my second set and they both needed to be resealed.

The black housings look MUCH better on a black SUV. Especially since the lamps have that black surround around the lamps, it just looks weird on a champagne colored SUV. I think it's because they stand out too much since the rest of his QX4 is body-matched, no other black parts on the car (besides the roof rack and that black part on the bumper).

By sanding the lenses. Or, you could always remove all of the tint and just start over. Or you could just remove all of the tint and not even bother and just put the regular lenses back on.

when using aircraft stripper be sure to wear eye protection, heavy duty rubber gloves (not that dish washing bs, serious rubber gloves) and clothes you wont mind getting dirty. I used to work with that stuff and OMFG that s*** burned my eyes when parts fell in and splashed into my eyes and I could feel it eating at my skin when it splashed on it... its not something to mess with
