Ok, so I am going to ask a favor of you guys that drive s13s and have stance GR+ coilovers on your car. I am a very busy person and need some quick help with ride height. I would reall appreciate it if you could give me some pictures of your car, and if it isn't to much of a pain, could you count how many threads you left (not sure how to explain it, as I am blanking on the correct terms). I live in an apartment complex and wherever I may be putting on the coilovers I have to be speedy about it, so I would just like to have my ride height set before I start, and not have to adjust them a lot (if at all).

More info: right now I have stock wheels and tires, but I plan on going with 225/50/16 soon after I get the coilovers on, a 16x8 +4 offset. I drive a coupe (not that it really matters)

I really appreciate it!

If I were you I would just go drive into some neiborhood and park the car and start working on it between people houses so each person thinks your at the other persons house lol.

But seriously man. It doesnt take long to install coilovers. Once they are on lower the car back down and see if you like the height. If not jack it back up real quick and drop it a bit more.

first off, they have pre-load... so you can practically make the frame rail touch the ground if you wanted to.

secondly... its kinda hard to explain... but if you set all coilovers at the same height prior to installation... I can almost garanty that you're gonna have a crooked ride height (probably due to weight distribution, or something). I dunno, every time I've installed coilovers, I set them to a desired height, then install them, ride around a bit to let them settle in, then adjust each coilover to the exact height depending on fender gap. Afterwards, I haul my asss to the alignment shop.

Coilovers should only take a few hours. Depending on how many beers you've had. hehe

I don't remember how many threads are left on mine but I know there aren't very many. I had to adjust mine a few times over a span of about a month to get my desired ride height. Then I had to adjust camber, toe and all that good stuff which messed up my ride height all over again

Installing suspension on our cars is incredibly easy. I did it myself in an hour. It was my first suspension swap.

If you want, I can create a write-up for you. I took pictures of the whole process in case I would be bored at work and wanting to do something productive :P

Thanks, I know how to install coilovers, I have done it twice already. I was just trying to save time when doing these with adjustments. I don't have the time to mess around so much (but I might just have to find some). I appreciate everyones help though.

Now I just need to find a place to install the coilovers. What neighborhood should I do it in, haha.

Are you saying you did a motor swap in some random neighborhood? Haha.

Still waiting on my coilovers, but thanks for all the help. I just realized my jack and jack stands are back at my parents' house 3 hours away.
