I will be installing a Tokico HP/Eibach ProKit suspension setup soon in an attempt to decrease the infamous stock S13 wheel gaps (theyre even more noticeable than those of S14s!). I would like to read any reviews and constructive advice you guys might have.

Currently, my front wheel gap seems unusually large at about 3 whole inches (about 1 fist) if not slightly more. Tokico shocks, stock springs, 205/60/R15 tires.

Lately, I'm having second thoughts since I've heard of the following unfavorable comments regarding these springs:-doesnt lower nearly as much as manufacturer claims-doesnt noticeably lower the car at all-slightly raises the car

Also, the ProKit's spring rates do not differ that much from stock springs. Is there really a noticeable difference in handling and ride quality? Improvement? Recommend? Please post any pics of S13s with ProKit springs you might have.

Thanks in advance.

1: there is a noticeable ride quality difference from stock 2: believe it or not, different makes/models will drop differently, so if you have a buddy in a VW telling you Eibach pro kit is junk, go find an '89 CRX with prokit. IMO, the perfect ride height... a perfect plane with the circumference of the tire.3: some kits settle differently than others. your car will not be at it's intended ride height immediately after the install. this is true of any street application spring replacement.4: you said you're installing tokico as well...you'll notice a huge improvement in responsiveness and *cornering* over a stock setup.5: prokit might not be as low as you want, but combined with good struts, you'll think you're driving a different car...and finally...6: if the gap is your main concern, skip the prokit and get coilovers for adjustability. prokit will be better riding, give you plenty of cornering confidence, and be much less troublesome than more expensive coilovers with damping adjustability options which serve no real purpose on the street.

hmm, that might be a bit confusing, as i try to see how long i can make a sentence. if all you're worried about is ride height, then pass on the prokit. I doubt you'll think it's low enough.

I appreciate your input very much, SmithSR; your review makes me eager to install the ProKits. Out of curiousity, what kind of experience do you have with S13s and Eibach ProKits?

The unfavorable comments I've heard regarding these springs came from S13/240SX owners. I do understand very well that different makes/models will drop differently, that's what I called upon the advice of S13 (as opposed to 240SX) owners. Specific make, model, and chassis is essential.

I'm having doubts the drop will low enough as well, thats why I would very much like to see pics of S13s with ProKits.

(btw, I have the ProKits still in the box, just contemplating whether I should sell them for Sportlines)

Ok. Here's my $.02. Don't get the prokits. I use to have them, and they only lowered my car 3/4". The handling was phenominal compared to stock, but they just didn't lower my car enough. Therefor, I went with the Intrax springs. They're about the same price ($210 shipped from http://www.adventon.com) and they drop the car another full inch over the prokit. Also, the handling is the SAME as the prokit, still great.

Email me, and I'll reply with before prokit pics, after prokit pics, and after Intrax pics.

Moderators - I think this thread might get more appropriate attention in the Suspension/Wheels subforum. I must've overlooked this option when I posted this. Could a moderator please move this thread over to the Suspension/Wheels section? I apologize for the inconvenience.

JeromeS13 - Thanks for the email with pics; you posted the right kind of input and info (before/after pics, tire sizes, etc) I need to evaluate my options. I will heavily consider your information.

i'm afraid that my car will be too low with something like intrax...i have an S14 with a knockoff veilside front bumper...and i have aboutttttt...3-3.2 in in the front for clearance...so knock of 1.5 in and i'm riding about 1.5-1.7 in off the ground...not very high... :( i'll scrape on pebbles! so i'm going w/ Tein S-Tech sprigns...that and the tein name has gotta be worth SOMETHING!
