Hey guys, I bought the Suspension Technique front and rear sway bars for my s13. You guys charged me $260 shipped to my door. Even though it took a while for the order to be processed because for some reason, Option Import had a hard time processing my order.

Anyways, I got a email from option import last week saying that the order has been processed and shipped out. I got the tracking number and everything and received the package today..

When I go to open the package, there's only one bar in there, the front sway bar.. The bar is obviously used by looking at the scratch marks.. I mean, these are not even scratch marks, it's like a chunk of it is missing..

the bottom line is, I ordered a brand new front and rear set.. I only got One bar, used.. and still $260 charged to my card.. wassup with that?

I emailed option import about this problem and haven't got an answer yet.. Hope this will be fixed soon because I would to install these already..

Anyone have a bad experience from option imports?

just wanted to share and hopefully get this resolved..

Hopefully there'll be a reply soon.

Keep us (mods/admins) posted, perhaps we can make a call as well.

try calling them. I ordered a Koyo radiator from them awhile back and they answer their phones alot quicker than their emails. I had excellent service when I got my Koyo, they answered all my questions and shipped it pretty quickly.

Oh yeah, I mean.. I dont think they're bad or anything.. I just didn't expect to receive just a used front sway bar when I ordered both front and rears new. I understand if they're busy and all but it's been about 2 weeks since I placed my order and I don't live that far either.

I would like to continue doing business with Option Import, I dont think they're a shady business at all.. But yeah, still no reply..

yeah that whole dinged up sway bar and missing sway bar is a major error on their part. I would call them and give them hell. see if they won't hook you up with something to compensate for it (for example: our cable went out because of the hurricanes here in FL, so I called the company and yelled alot and they took money off our bill and sent us free NFL stuff because I said I missed some games ) squeaky wheel gets the grease!

haha, man that's funny.. Naw, i dont want to give them a hard time.. I should call today and see what's up.. I even went to the place last week to pay with cash and pick it up myself but they were closed.. no where to be found.. So i went down to the street to PJ Bonifacio paint & body to meet up about doing a website for him..

By the end of the day, I got new rims from him and he's also going to rust proof my car for $200.. can't beat that..

anyways, i'll call them and keep you guys updated..

FYI, i had/am having a really bad experience with them where i ordered a radiator, never received it, asked for a refund...waited...demanded a refund...waited....waited...still waiting

I called them about 2 weeks ago and spoke with someone.. they said that they have a replacement for me and that they'll give me a call back. Told the guy to leave a message if I didn't pick up but nope, no one called.. I got an email a couple of days later saying that I can either pick up the sway bars and swap or ship it via my cost with an RMA# and my shipping will be reimbursed.

Even though they're about 40 mins away from me, It's probably best to pick up the sway bars and observe them myself. Well good luck..

yeah but now im thinking, why bother driving 35-40 miles to get my sway bar when shipping was free? Gas these days are pretty high.. every month, i see myself paying approx $400 or so in gas alone.. My daily driver is my s13 and my weekend car is a '03 Lexus GS.. I was planning on picking up the sway bars when I drop my car off at P.J. Bonifacio Autodesign but now I'm not sure when that's going to happen..

I think it is best if I go in person, just to make sure there are no more confusions and mishaps...

I had a bad experience with them as well. A lot of lies. I work in retail and know that this place is a joke when it comes to customer service.

Option has had some bad turn of events lately (lots of personnel issues).

For the time being, we will be pulling our affiliation with them, so they can get affairs back in order.

Once they get things straightened out, I'm sure we'll see them back here - they're a good shop, just going through some growing pains.

Just to add, I have never personally done buisness with them but have read about more then a couple incidents of people having problems with them. I'm not here to bash them but just letting everyone know what I have read about them one more than 1 occassion. Just want to look out for my fellow nissan enthusiasts.
