I sent an e-mail to TEIN telling them that Foxmarketing used a set of 02+ Altima S-Techs on their 08 Altima Coupes. It fit perfect and all but had a slight squeeky problem. I then asked them if they could try it out on a coupe and maybe fix that problem. Man after a day I got a reply!!!!Check it out, read on. We might be getting some springs and coilovers soon.....Yo man since you were trying hard to have Tanabe make some coilovers for us guys I thought I give you the chance to have your car be used by Tein for their R&D man. Just give them a call and tell them about this e-mail that I got back. Or since Im the one that they sent the e-mail to, maybe I can tell them your info. Check out the e-mail I got man. Man I would have them use my car but Im from Hawaii and your info says youre from LA.

Dear Jeff,

Thank you for your interest in TEIN High Performance Suspension products. Unfortunately, we have yet to release products for the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe, although we are currently developing our S.Tech and High.Tech lowering springs, as well as our Basic and Super Street with Pillowball Uppermount (SS-P) full coilover kits for your application to be released in the near future. Additionally, we are currently seeking a vehicle for R&D testing, and if you are located in the Los Angeles area and would be interested in providing your vehicle for such test work to be completed, please reply with your contact information. We have noted your inquiry as well, and can contact you via email upon release of products for your application. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us at your convenience.

Best regards,

There are many other coupe owners in the LA area, I would think they would want some r&d chances too, since Loop already had Tanabe and Greddy

Thanks anyways, but they have been saying that for the last 3-4 months. I contacted them way before Tanabe and your going to get the same response on phone or email.

Awww.......thats weak. Man got my hopes up alittle and now Im just hoping theyre just not all talk. But um I guess whoever wants to try it anyway, callem up. I just want someone to make some coilovers or springs thats gonna give me a drop of 1.8front and 1.5rear. Well since the only one thats really pushing to get some coilovers was Loop so I thought I askem first but I guess hes a few steps ahead of me.

should I make another post saying TEIN needs a 08 Altima Coupe for R&D?

I think the problem is that most of these companies have their R&D team in Japan, so they come every so many months to do R&D in the U.S. or they have to request/wait for parts from Japan to test fit them in the U.S. and usually takes a good full 3-5months to come out with the product.

if the R&Ds are in NY then they'd only be able to work 6 months out of a year
