If anyone has a SOHC A/C compressor (and the bracket) that is lying around and can send it to me, I am def. going to fab up a bracket that will work with the SR20DET and share all info on how to make it, etc. I'll even send it back to you when finished. Hit me up if you are interested! Someone needs to make one, and it might as well be me since I have an entirely new A/C system on the car that I do not want to screw with after getting the motor in...I've searched everywhere for one--can't find any instructions or one for sale. Thanks! :yesnod

Nope, I pretty much abandoned the project since I couldn't find any donors. However, the SR20DET compressor will work well with custom A/C lines that will be made for cheaper than I could've done this, I believe. Haven't done it yet, but I asked around locally and supposedly you can take a truck service shop your original lines and the ones off the SR compressor (the connections to the compressor itself) and they can make your lines match up to the new compressor for roughly $30-50. With that said, the lines they make may have to bend a little differently to accomodate the SR motor and/or different exhaust manifolds so keep in mind that you may have to do some measuring/visualizing. Of course, if the motor is already in the car, they would do all that--but the total price would be higher. So, I'm gonna try that route. There was a writeup of some guys that used all their SOHC components and bolted up to a KA/SR compressor. I don't remember where...Google it and I'm sure you'll find it as well :yesnod

When I finally get this in the car and get the A/C working, I'll follow up with exactly what to do for us SOHC guys!!

Yes, there are options, although getting a bracket to me, would be the easiest, and cleanest route to take. I spoke to codyace, who is well known for his a/c brackets. He told me, that he is currently working on an a/c bracket for us sohc guys! He isn't sure, if it will work, but I've got my fingers crossed. It's going to take about a month or so, before he can either confirm, if he gets a working bracket. I'll update, when I get any news.

Heck, that's even better! If he designs one successfully, please do let me know! Still, I've heard that the lines pose a problem in regards to fitment around the exhaust manifold, but hopefully they will work...Codyace, let's get this thing made!
