ATTN: Infiniti Owners with Nav Screen Lockup/Freezing Issues

This is a problem documented quite some time ago by Inifiniti occurring in multiple models such as M's, Q's and possibly others that have the same Navigation system.

The root of the problem is a Bluetooth bug when having a specific model mobile phone paired with the system. The phone model in question is the Treo 700 series.

When this phone is paired up you may experience an eventual lockup in your nav screen but also the entire group of control buttons for Navigation, Climate Control, Audio will also lockup and be disabled.

TEMPORARY FIX - although you will have to live without your Treo 700 being paired with the car, UNPAIR YOUR TREO 700 from the car. You will then retain functionality of all other systems.

WHAT TO DO - there are two things you should do to place yourself on Infiniti's notification list.

1. Call their Consumer Affairs line at 1-800-662-6200 to report your issue, which they will acknowledge exists.

2. Send an email to [email protected].

Infiniti Consumer Affairs stated to me a couple of weeks ago that they hope to have a fix soon.
