I'm in love w/ my hatch, but when I see coupes like this:

I feel like I'm cheating, lol.

Someday, I will eventually have a coupe... but not today. I'm on a mission to collect! S13 Hatch [x] S13 Coupe [ ] S14 Zenki [ ] S14 Kouki [x]<-- Don't know if it qualifies, since it's a '95 w/ a Kouki front? oh well... it's just body styles anyway.

personally hatches are a dime a dozen around here... i love mine but outta all the 240s i looked at only one was a coupe...

it was green two tone thou, but i couldnt see paying 1800 for a non running car at the time

some kid bought it and drifted it into a curb and f**ked it up

pissed me the hell off....

i like the lines of older nissans (datsuns) better idk y

I have only owned 2 cars with a trunk in my whole life.An '85 Accord that smoked bad enough to stop traffic, and a '91 Integra 4 door. I loved that car.I just find the space in a hatch much more useful. I am glad that Nissan saw fit to give us an option.Lastly, if anyone is doing something stupid enough to cause a car to roll over regardless of hatch or coupe, they pretty much deserve what they get.

When I was first looking for a 240sx, I really wanted the coupe. I ended up getting a hatch instead and I have never regreted it. Hatches do seem to be more common. I would still like to pick up a coupe someday.

I've got a hatch and an S14...I win

From the small amount I've gotten to drive the S14, the chassis does seem more rigid than my S13...but you really can't argue with all that cargo room in the hatch. At the moment, the S13 is more fun to drive since it has way more done to it, but I'm guessing an equally-prepped S14 would be even better. I'll find out eventually.

I am around both. I live wirh my gf who has a 93 white coupe, and I have a 90 piggy. In my opinion, they're both sexy in different ways. The coupe however is a diff. Driving experience then hatch. For one, I feel as if I'm closer to the rear wheels. I know I'm not since its the same chassis or whatnot. But I feel like you feel the power more then in a hatch. But like one of youse said up there, the hatch dude, can fit half a an apt in there. I should know cuz I just moved from la to mcallen. Tx. Hahaha. And drove both fourties there.

I'd say its just taste. I want both s13s and a kouki s14. And then for this moment I'd be happy!

Coupe with kouki conversion??? Hmm never seen that. Sounds like I got to hit me up some google images....

Ithink kouki s14 front on hatch looks siiiiiiick. Definately better than s15 imo. More agressive.

Can't beat the hatch man. If you use your car like I do, you couldn't have the coupe. Can you get three mountain bikes in a coupe without taking the wheels off? doubt it. Can you fit a whole bunch of plywood in the back of the coupe? hell no. My hatchback swallows building supplies whole. I can fit 20 2x4x8's in the back and still close the trunk.

Haha there are plywood chips all over under the carpet in my hatch. Also can be a decent bed.

I go ya beat.

Ten 15"wheels with tires in my hatch without taking out the back seats and still able to close the hatch. Six 18" wheels with tires with a passenger too.

Oh and on another day I fit a full body kit in the car.

Again this is what I have to say about the body styles:

Looks:coupe > hatch

Usefulness:coupe < hatch

I beat you my fellow niconaut . I fit half my aprtment in my hatch. And a 90 lb siberian husky....had I dunno how many clothes, mishi aluminum rad two electric 12" fans combo amp guitar laptap+case ps3 book of cds...without taking anything out....oh and the clothes were in those space bags things, and I still had room to see out my rear view mirror. Hehehe.

I'd say for sleekness and style both have em. My gf has a coupe and that's why I had to take everything...plus I had to take out her seat just to put a box in and then put the seat back.

For lighter, coupe. For spacecious(sp? I suck I know) luxory neither s14 or s13 coupe have it. Hatchback for sure. I love my hb though. I'd marry it if it were legal.

^I did that too, almost forgot that I had to help my boyfriend move from Vegas to SoCal. I had his entire room in my car, giant old TV, big computer and monitor, lots and lots of boxes of clothes, game systems, old crap from his childhood, books, models, ect.. and still had room to fit a passenger. Damn I wish I had taken pictures, it was like playing tetris in a 240. Got pulled over because they thought I had just robbed a place.

What I love about the hatch the most is that you can fold down the back seats and make a twin size bed. Slept in the car like that for a month.

^ God I hate you.

I've had 18 people in my hatch before, and still managed to drive it around the block (just to see if we could!). Try that in a coupe, I DARE you.

Okay I think you might of topped me there. Hehehe.

I tottally forgot about folding the seats down and lying in the back. My gf and I dozed off for a bit near the beach. Very relaxing. So the hatch wins. Massive space, and a twin bed camper!!!! Werd.

My first 240 was a s14 and I loved the car, I thought it was very sleek and it was an se so it had power sunroof and power everything, this car was pristine, bought it from some old guy who passed away, but I fell in love like instantly. But then I sold it a couple of years later, and the kid drifted it into a tree. I was pissed, i should have kept it. But that made me wonder how many actual 240's are lost to drift accidents? I only know of my old s14 from first hand. But now I have a s13 hatch and love the lines and the look of it. I think a hatch and coupe s13 have different taste, both can look amazing, but for me the hatch has it. What about power options? Is it that important to anyone? Would you rather have a non-se or wait for the SE? I mean se is more luxurious, but the base is lighter??? What do you think?
