I'll start by saying I know there are already a couple threads on S14-RB25 wiper wiring but none of them solved my problem. I recently gotten a S2 RB25 swapped 95 base model s14. I've already repinned the wiper motor plug according to another thread, but I'm having problems with what I believe is the wiper amp plug. I don't have a wiper amp, not really sure if it's gone from the previous owner or if there never was one. I don't have the variable intermittent wipers, I have the OFF/LOW/HIGH wipers. When I went searching for plugs/etc. this is what I found:

This is how I repinned the wiper motor plug (clip on top):
BLANK ....Blue/Red.....Orange
Black......LG/black.....LG/red

Both this plug and the following plug are wired into the harness from what I can see, I believe the first plug is the RB plug:

This is what I believe to be the KA plug:

And this is what was plugged into the "KA" plug:

If anyone out there knows how I can wire this to work or can help me at all PLEASE do, this is the only thing I'm lacking right now to have everything functional. And yes I've tried plugging the RB plug into the KA plug as is and no dice.

Oh, and I used to be an active member on here a couple years ago but I couldn't remember my old username/email so I started over with a new name since it's my username on every other forum. Thanks in advance for any help!

ok after all the searching I've done for this and still not been able to find out anything other than either I have the wrong plug, or my wiring is different than any other pinout because my colors don't match up. I know there are a ton of you out there that have working wipers on you rb25 swapped s14's, why can't you chime in and help a guy out? I haven't even been able to drive due to it raining and all I need is a little help to get this finished, this is the only thing left for me to finish to have a fully functional swap. PLEASE help me out here and thanks in advance for anyone who does..

You need a wiper amplifier.

Ok, well that's a start, are the plugs I've shown for the wiper amp? And if so, why do I have both male AND female plugs if one of those has to plug into the amp? I'm just trying to figure out what wires go where and why my stuff doesn't seem to match any pinkie that I've found..

Ok, the first male plug you show from the RB is what plugs into the wiper amplifier normally. Below is a pic of the RB wiper wiring. For starters, this is what needs to happen between the amplifier and the wiper motor. The two thick black lines that go off to the right tie into the M63/F4 plug. I'm not sure about that KA plug, but it doesn't look familiar. You still have the plug that goes into the wiper motor, correct?

Yes, I already have the plug for the wiper motor plugged into the motor. And I've repinned the plug like this:

-----------Clip on top------------
BLANK.....Blue/Red.....Orange
Black......LG/black.....LG/red

And the KA plug is the same as the plug in the first pic, I can plug that pigtail in the last couple pics into either the KA or the RB plug and for some reason both the KA and RB plug are both still in the harness. I haven't tracked them down to see which if not both is wired into the harness, I found the KA plug and pigtail plugged together and taped up while I was trying to rewire the wipers. I've already had to wire up lights and other things and so far everything has gone smooth other than the tach being off, the speedo not working and the wipers.. I just use my gps as my speedo for now and I need to read up on how to adjust the tach to read properly but the wipers have just been an absolute headache.. Still looking for a wiper amp btw.. Thanks for all the help so far Darius, after searching and searching I knew you were the guy to go to.

The way you have the wiper motor plug repinned isn't going to work. The L/R wire is the 12V power and it is feeding backwards through the motor if it is wired that way. Whoever wrote that wiring recommendation was a dumba$$. You might as well put the pins back to where they were to match the wiring diagram and start over.

What I did was cut the wiper amp plug off of the RB harness with as much tag end as I needed from the plug. You have to pull the RB engine harness back through the firewall so you can solder near the M63 plug (you know which one that is, right?). Then, I wired 4 wires from the wiper amp plug to the proper pins on the M63 plug. See the RB25DET Series 1 into S14 wiring guide that I helped create for details. If you can't find it, let me know. (WA07, WA08, WA09, and WA13)

Next, take the 3 remaining wires on the RB wiper amp plug and splice them onto the wires on the KA motor plug per the above figure. As you can see, the orange does not need splicing, simply connect WA04 to WA04.

Finally, trace the KA wiper motor plug wires back to the M63 plug. They must be wired into the proper pins according to the aforementioned guide.

Hopefully this works :woot:

Alright so I'm still having absolute hell. When I compare the 95 KA wiper diagram to the rb25 diagram, the plugs are the same but the wire locations/functions seem like none of them match. This is how I have the motor plug wired right now which is straight from the diagram provided on this page.

This is plugged into the stock 95 KA wiper motor. I also got a wiper amp but the guy forgot to send the pigtail with it so I'm waiting on that but I at least have the amp now.

Can someone please verify that I have the wiper motor plug pinned correctly now??

When I assembled my harness, I didn't repin anything.

You didn't rewire anything and your wipers work fine?

Darius do you have the link for the RB25 in s14 wiring write up? I can not find it anywhere.

Do you have the RB25 into S14 wiring guide? It is all done at the M63 plug but uses the RB upper harness wires. If not PM me your e-mail and I'll send you a file. Make sure your PMs are enabled too.

s!lv!a - what is your address? I'm sending you a set of nail clippers :rotfl

I don't have any wiring guide, I've been going through and doing all of my wiring off the fsm's and just cross referencing them but at this point I'm annoyed because I'm finding little issues and constantly fixing them along the way and while that's a good thing, it still sucks because the previous owner was impatient and didn't let his wiring guy finish the harness and now I'm having to redo everything.

And yeah yeah, I was waiting for a comment about my nails lol. I keep them long but they're particularly long in that pic..

I'll pm you about the wiring guide Darius. Thanks!

Edit: idk if I don't have enough posts or what but pm'ing isn't working for me.. My email is [email protected]

Let me know when you send it so I can edit my email out. Thanks

It won't let me send you a PM I activated them and all but still nothing. So I don't know about that. Anyways I don't have and wiring diagrams what so ever. I bought the car from a friend and am trying to work out the kinks in it. My wipers work but the MFS doesn't control them other than on or off. My email is [email protected] so if you could please email me the diagrams you have it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help.
