Yes, unfortunately the Y33 ECU project is pretty much a non-starter.blind6 wrote:Does this mean the Y33 ECU's are on hold?????
The idea has been presented before...illtww wrote:Hey Robert...
Long time friend of Q45 owners. Might be the owner of a 1990 q soon very soon......
When are we going to see the NICO ecu's back for sale?
Can we use consult (for the z31's) or are the inputs not correct for the program?
I think it would be a great idea for a FULL OUT MAX MPG mode for those of us that drive alot of mile too and from work..
I'd offer mine for testing. And I'd bet that you'd make it back as I bet there are more modded Y33's on this forum than G50's by now. And it seems like those of us with them are willing to spend a little more. I'd spend $500 for one, I've sold a dozen sets of springs and I bet at least half of those guys would too. I have 7 more sets on the way with at least 3 people wanting some and I haven't even really put the word out.RobertsnewQ wrote:

Yes, they CAN be chipped, but it is very difficult and quite expensive. I'd need to spend over $1000 just to get started, and each one would cost me at least $200 in parts (the chips have to be imported directly from Japan) plus several hours of labor and dyno time. Also, since I don't have a Y33 and only one ECU, it would be difficult to do the development necessary to make a safe, powerful tune.
Sorry guys!
Congratulations! You'll be bringing some much-needed class to Tiger Town!illtww wrote:Just bought a 1990 that is beggin for the mod...
