I'm finally in the process of compiling all the helpful DIY and How-to articles for the Pathfinder / QX4 into a single standalone page.

However, in order to do so, I'm going to need some assistance...

SO, go through the forums, your bookmarks, the archives and make a list of everything that's NOT already in the sticky thread at the top of this forum.

We'll get this done, it's just gonna be a long process.... But it'll be super-helpful when it's completed.

The more I go through these, the more I'm realizing that these aren't very well-written to begin with.

Threads / discussions don;t do us much good - We need someone to compile the factual data on each topic into a thread about that particular topic.

What would an ideal HOW TO thread look like? Could you give a link or post an example so we can modify the current HOW TO's and so future HOW TO threads are in an acceptable format?

Ummm did you forget about this thread? Sticky Thread Content I suggest reading it throughly because there is a ton of content throughout. As I suggested multiple times in that thread, we should have our own independent sticky dedicated to "How To" threads.

I've got some ideas that I think would be a big help, I don't know how much work would be involved, but I'd like to help out with what ever I can for the greater good.

I was thinking that when you click on the pathfinder/qx4 link from the main page, instead of everything poping up on one main jumbled page, can we get 4-5 sub catigories? something like the following

Pathfinder Forums / Qx4 forums - WD chassis - - Engine trouble shooting & maintance - - suspension and off roading - - performance - - Body - - Electrical and Audio- R50 - - Engine trouble shooting & maintance - - Suspension and Off Roading - - Performance - - Body - - Electrical and Audio- R51 - -Same catigories as above

If I or someone else like empty, or Qxxx4 could become a mod, I'm sure we would be willing to help out in any ways we can

This would be great! I like what sicwitit suggests also-much easier to find info. Laptop hardrive died, all my favorites/how to's/links etc are gone.

I didn't forget anything. Keep in mind, I'm concerned with optimization and search availability, as well as our ability to scale it into a new format in the near future (during some behind-the-scenes upgrades that are pending).

Like I said, threads don't do us much good, but good compilations of info are gonna help you guys out in the long run.

ok, I will start with a thread of all the electronics stuff I can find first, then move on to wheels/tires, off roading, etc, etc. any of you other knuckle heads can jump in at any time and help out too.

You have to watch out with the broad categories, you may have people that don't know what an R50 is, or that their engine is a 3.3, not a 3.5, all they know is that they are having window problems, or a code is being set and they want to read about how to fix it. Maybe putting an explanation next to the diff categories would be helpful to avoid confusion and problems.
