ok so i did the research and i have a quick question about the electric fan setup. i want to run the fan so that its thermostatically controlled. i will use one fan to replace the a/c fan so wiring that one fan is no issue. the other fan i would like to have thermostatically controlled that doesnt require me drilling any holes in my radiator to tap a probe into it. if anyone has any links or suggestions as to which controller they used or which ones they have seen being used, it would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, i already have altima fans. purchased brand new ones off ebay for like 90 bux shipped with a 1 year warranty. they are aftermarket but i suggest the same as who wants a 10 year old fan for like 20 or 30 bux cheaper. Also i know that some of yall wire it to be on consistently all the time or have it to a switch. i just rather not have em running all the time nor want to have to remember to turn em on (i live in fl...........)

hks fan controller works pretty good, but the greddy mss works better - plus allows you to turn off/on fans at certains mph/rpm also. I'm also not sure if hks fan controller instructions are available in english or not (haven't been able to find any on these forums, someone will tell you what wires go where tho )

Install for Greddy:http://www.frsport.com/greddy-multi-swi ... p-524.html

Hayden thermal switch, you just stick a probe in your radiator between the fins and secure it with plastic/foam sponge things that lock it in place, i think it was $45 at those commie pig****ers at Kragen

(it has 2 hots for 2 different temps, adjustable too)

I've gone through the following:

1) Wired to ignition2) Wired w/ Hayden thermal switch3) Wired w/ Greddy MSS

Ignition: Car wouldn't warm up - combined w/ my alum koyo, altima fans, & 80/20 setup. Plus fans aren't suppose to be on all the time.

Hayden or other probe which are similar: "Works". It's a guess and check with the probe, plus w/ the hayden it's spring controlled. In the first month I had it, it failed on me twice, causing me to overheat - the spring pops out of place sometimes, and the readings aren't always accurate since they are only near the radiator. Keep in mind that "middle" spot on water temp gauge ranges about 40 degrees fahrenheit. It won't creep up until you are starting to overheat. If you don't mind the uncertainty, it's the best bang for the buck.

My other buddy had the permacool one - something in the controller box melted when running his flexalite fans after about a few months or so.

Greddy: It's more expensive, I didn't want to either, but once I hooked it up, I know EXACTLY what temps it turns on and off, when it turns on and off, and has not overheated on me period. Expensive, but worth every penny.

The Greddy runs around 150, the HKS runs around 175. The HKS doesn't let you adjust w/ speed/rpm/boost (if you get boost solenoid). You will also need to buy 2 relays w/ either one.

If you need help w/ the fan hookup, you can either search one of my old threads, or call up those guys from that link or talk to them on AIM (they are on most of the day).

I have this one http://www.intakeone.com/Pivot/Piv_STC.htmlworks pretty good and comes with an oil temp sensor too and connects to the stock water temp sensorthe only thing I don't like about it, it only reads celcius and it is a negative trigger so you have to use relays
