ATTENTION EVERYONE - NOPI SUCKS!!!!

Just as the title thread reads..NOPI SUCKS. DON'T Even waste your time and Money. I've never seen such a disorganized show in my life! Saturday was freaking brutal! Temperature was high and so was the humidity! Pretty much stayed under the tents to seek shelter from the heat. Waited all damn day for a judge to come around. Oh they did come around finally...around 10pm! WTF? By that time my wife was not feeling good and had to get in my car and recline the seats and blast the AC. So needless to say the windows were up and doors closed. Sandy, the one with the G, was talking to some guy with a clip board. He was a judge and while Sandy was telling them what was done on the car he said to her "I really don't miss much when it comes to judging cars" REALLY YOU JACK A$$?...How the F**K do you know what was done to each vehicle when you didn't even approach any of the owners and discussed in detail what was modded. Now all of this was happening unbeknown to the whole group. One minute there wasn't a sticker on our car, the next there was! WHEN? WHERE? WHO? HOW? I was so pissed. The following day it wasn't as hot but by 4pm clouds rolled in and the rain poured down. A lot of us were under the tent which was tilted towards the storm and held it down to prevent it from blowing away. After it blew over, Rob (Sandy's husband) and I went to the NOPI tent and inquired about when the trophies were to be given out. They said 5:30. That was another hour plus we had to wait. Judging from my wife's face, she's had enough and frankly so did I. We packed and left. The others stayed to wait. An hour after leaving, we got a call from Sandy telling us we left early because all hell broke loose at the show. NOPI was telling everyone that awards were not going to be given out. That would include cash prizes. There's a couple of videos that were posted on YouTube already regarding this. HIN last year was way better than this and Carlisle's Events are 1000xs better than both. Never again will I attend this and waste my time and money.

BTW..The music sucked A$$ too!

ohh damm i was tryin to embed them on matts page couldnt do it, just put links but yes.....lol NOPI is wack!! they f*** up my regerstration, went there and they had nothgin on my car that i was regersterd and my credit card statement said that i had paid for the show, so i had to pay extra there and register and i was not even put i a class i believe and my car was not judged....sooo screwww nopi they suckkk never again!

what's the point of having an event like this if they're going to just screw it up so badly? the whole point of having an event is to promote the produce/company and increase sales, i'm pretty sure they've lost all credibility since this will probably be talked about among the modding community which is where they get all of their business.

I wasn't big on the NOPI crowd back when it was still had the nats at AMS and when you piggyback with HIN it's just gonna turn to s***.

I think I'd plot murder on someone throwing a sticker on my car without consent too.

Can't say I didn't see this coming. Sad to see what was once a pretty decent event going down the tubes.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: The marque-specific events are where it's at. Granted, they'll be smaller - but the accountability is much higher, the cameraderie is stronger, and the focus is on the PEOPLE, not the cars.

THAT is where they failed, and I've had that discussion with Mark from NOPI more than a few times.

With all that said, we'll keep hosting NICOfest events throughout the country, and keep improving little-by-little. Hope to see you all come out to support the cause in the years to come.

Yeah I was surprised myself Greg. The last two event I went to were really good and well organized. This one was not well planned or executed. Sandy, the one with the G35 went to a HIN even at State College PA for "Rivalry Nights" She showed up as well as 100+ other cars at the fairgrounds and HIN wasn't there. They cancelled the show and never bothered to tell anyone. NO ONE got their money back!

On a side note, there was a 1969 Nissan Fairlady with a SR20DET and boy did it sound really good!

I'll still be going to Atlanta. I enjoy the environment and the cars. I'm not too concerned with my car being judged. Granted, I haven't invested as much into it as some of the hardcore guys like D (in which case, he's totally justified in being upset), but I'm just wanting to get away from the house for a weekend and nerdin out around some fun cars.

Sorry this happened guys. That's a cryin shame.
