There is still an open safety recall on all 300ZX 84-89 for the fuel injectors. You can contact your local Nissan dealer about Safety recall campaign # P5137 or call Nissan America at 1-800-NISSAN1 to give them your VIN #. If the recall has not been done in you car Nissan will install new injectors, rail, inj plugs, pressure regulator ect and all labor (about $1500) FREE of charge

There have been many reports from Z31 owners on other Z31 boards that Nissan no longer makes the parts required for this service campaign. Do you work at or with a dealership that has these kits? Have you or do you know someone who has RECENTLY been able to get this SERVICE CAMPAIGN (it's not a recall) work done?

Someone in the ZPeople FB group posted that he's bringing his 88turbo to the dealer tomorrow, figured I'd pass it along. Not sure if his dealer is a fluke or what, but figured it'd be worth passing along. Sorry if it's unavailable in your area.

Reading comprehension. I haven't tried to have it done since all my cars were done at least a decade ago. I asked where you got the information from as NATIONALLY, many other Z31 owners are getting turned away by their dealerships.

The person who had posted was able to get the work done, this was as of last week, so apparently Z31 owners on other Z31 boards aren't the end all/be all of Z31 information.

Because I have to ask if you found a really old post about it and reposted or if this was something recent. I also have to ask where this work is/was done so that other people can use that as a reference when they talk with their local dealership. As I said, no one else on any of the other Z31 boards have been able to get it done in at least the last year. One person even took theirs in and was later told that Nissan doesn't make the kits any more, so the dealership couldn't perform the work.

This SERVICE CAMPAIGN (important distinction as this is NOT a recall) started back in the mid 90s. So it's more than 15 years old.

Performed yesterday, so yes, the parts are available and the recall is still being done.



I don't have another source for the photo of the receipt.

That particular owner is in NC, and had the work done at Modern Nissan in Winston-Salem.

I'm not getting hostile, I'm questioning the validity of a Z32 owner posting about a Z31 service campaign that's 15 years old. As I said, a number of Z31 owners on various message boards have been turned away recently (one even after his car was in the dealer's hands) for this work. At least now there is proof that at least one dealership was able to perform the work. Thank you. I will pass this information on the next time someone says they can't get the work done.
