Would anyone like to purchase an ASC680 w/ harness @ cost (20% off MSRP)? Total cost would be $613 to your door versus $750. Any takers? Questions?

Ryan, Satoshi e-mailed me these prices. I was under the assumption you were going to buy the first controller/harness setup from him or was it someone else?

Anyway, he finally got back to me, but I'm still sold on the ASE664 (besides, I've already bought it haha) so I thought I'd post em up :D .

I was just curious if you were going to go with the asc680. How's the rehab of the active suspesion going?

Can your contact get other parts?

I don't think we're talking about the same person. My contact was an authorized US dealer for Data System. He has an American name if I remember correctly?

STILL at the dealer. I'm calling the dealer myself tommorow... I'm in disbelief it's taking them so long. I may have to put off the trip down there til the end of July now. Last I checked 2 weeks ago, there were only 36 tickets left...

I was under the impression it may be the same person Ryan... are you still good to go with the guy getting you the deal on your ASC680?

Yeah, Satoshi can get just about anything JDM we could want. He only buys new, but his markup isn't much for what you get.

I believe we're talking about this company. They're a North American distributor for DataSystem, so I'd assume the same person.

This is irrelevant and off topic... but I was just browsing yahoo auctions japan...

Yea, good to go.

They loaded the the car up on the trailer thursday and it was to low. Low by 1 inch. I tried to get the guy to put it on H, but it either didn't work, or it was too loaded down. May have to put those spare actuators in right away. If the car is weighted down can it still change and maintain it's 1 inch lift in H mode?

The exhaust was too low for the standard truck. Wasn't bad though I get it delivered to my door instead of a terminal. The exhaust was to low to clear apparently. Either a combo of the body kit and the ehxaust and all the weight from the spare parts or the acutators are low or a combo of both.. We'll see...

Nice. I had an 87 but it was a real beater compared to that fine example. Always wanted to modify it though.. It's so 80s. Big tank of a car

I'm betting a combo of both. Was the car running when he put it in "H"? I believe it has to be running otherwise it simply maintains the lesser height. I would imagine even with the weight you should still see a slight raise if the active system is working correctly...

I'm glad to hear it's finally on it's way nonetheless.

Will the advanced diagnostic test with consult reveal how much charge is left in the actuators? Or consequently is there any way to tell besides pushing on the car.. Something more scientific...

The ASC680 has a height monitoring capability as one of it's new features. I guess it would be a good test to compare it's readout with a more tested way, if there is one?

That I'm unsure of. As unscientific as it may be, having someone monitor the spacing between the wheel and fender should provide you with a good enough estimate to decide whether you need to have some actuators recharged/replaced or not.

I'd be interested to see if the 2nd set has held their charge through the years.

If not texasoil will be receiving a friendly email

What if it isn't that obvious. That's what I'm thinking. If they arn't flat enough to be obvious. It would be nice to know how much charge is left. Also with the spare actuators, if they were never used would there be a way to figure out the charge of them outside the car..

Going to order the ASC680.. May come in handy for diagnostics as well.
