i was just wondering if u could make a sticky like ppl can post up mods, dyno numbers, 1/4 times and things like dat. so ppl can get an idea on wat parts they can get and what 1/4 times to expect with some parts. i noticed in the ca forums they have it and i was searched the rb forums and noticed i didnt see it. so can you make that happen for ppl that wanna get rb and wonder what numbers ppl put down. im in a process of saving money to get rb20 even though ppl say its a waste of money and time but i care. thanks its just a suggestion to make the rb forums a lil better..

You might already have seen this, but skylines australia has a few threads dedicated hp numbers with the different RB motors here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.c...rum=8

Also, I don't think the RB20 is a bad swap. From what I read on one forum, a guy said he would give anything to have his RB20's exhaust note back...even over his current RB26.

Many parts of the world use Kilo-Watts vs. horsepower. 139.7rwkw = 187.26rwhp.Here is a link to a conversion calculator.http://www.tvss.net/train/tools/08.htm

a kW is the common unit of power in australia compared to our HP and japan's PS. Basically 1HP = .7457kW or 1kW = 1.341HP

So that 139.7rwkw that you saw is equal to 187.3rwhp

Also yes they came with over 200hp stock, but that is at the engine. The "rw" in rwhp or rwkw is measured at the rear wheels and included some drivetrain loss which is why it is lower. Most 350Z's that have 287hp stock really dyno at 230-240rwhp.

And notice they talk about 34-36 degree days being hot. That's because it's in Celcius. So, some of those runs were being made in mid 90 degree heat. Not the ideal temperature for dyno tuning.

ehhh ive never been a fan of those types of threads for a couple reasons

1) they always turn into a flamefest because X driver will say he runs a 10.5 and 30 people will claim bull**** and ask for proof. it makes alot of work for moderators to keep it clean

2) there is a billion variables that goes into horsepower, and 1/4 times. temprature, altitude, other car modifications, tuning, drivers ability, tire size, tire pressure, tire temp, drivers ability (its that important.), etc. no 2 cars with the same modifications, if they are on opposite sides of the world will make the same power or have the same 1/4 times.

im personally against it, but if theres enough demand ill make one.

What if it were a locked thread for information only, where the poster had to PM you the info with proof (dynograph, timeslip, etc) and you just past it into the locked thread?

I guess thats not such a great idea cause it doesn't really make any less work for you though, lol

i think we should have a thread. more of list of mods and dyno numbers. maybe a few drag times, but nothing to get into pissing matches with.

would be just good to see

*psst* i think joe doesnt want a 1/4mile thread cause his car is sloowwww

Something like this http://www.drag240sx.com/plug-...185e7 would be cool. Same format, just RB exclusive.

I'd support it only if people had to post dyno graphs, too. Peak numbers are worthless to me.

I don't think there's any reason to make a strict hp thread.. I don't think there are enough of us on here who have actually dynoed our RB's.

I think a better idea would be to simply do a roll call... Introduce yourself, post a mod list, post a dyno chart if you have one, post a pic of your car and one of your engine bay, tell a funny story about your RB experience..

I think that would be more adaptive to everyone who might want to participate.. just my $.02
