man... so last night was a trip.

I get off class yesterday around 6pm, and my intention was to go pick up my gf from Whittier right after class...so I usually take the 91 east to the 710 north, get on the 105 east, and exit firestone... the route is pictured below, just to give a visual..

anyways, if anyones ever driven 105 east around this time, they'd know its crazy dead lock traffic. I'm stuck in the left lane near the carpool lane behind some truck... but I'm pretty patient when it comes to traffic, I'm not in any hurry or anything..so we cut to visual scene 2, circled in red

so after like 20 mins on the 105, I see in my rear view mirror a pair of HIDs cutting through traffic like it was a motorcycle or something... a few moments later, those HIDs pull right next to me... and what do I see? a decently stanced red eg6, black wheels / polished lip, exhaust, roof wing spoiler, and a sticker in the center the back window that reads "I heart my honda" or was it "I heart my eg" or something like that (not angled or anything, sticker right dead smack in the middle)... whatever. He rides next to me for like the next 10-15 yards... then downshifts and cuts off the guy on his right to advance in traffic... this happens somewhat near the red circle pictured above..

moments later, I get toward the end of the freeway and what do you know... I catch up to the same red eg6! at this part of the freeway, I usually ride up the 605N ramp and exit Firestone Blvd.If you've never gone up the 605North and take the Firestone Blvd exit, its this fun little straight that ends in a huge right turn bank... another map below for visualization

so me and him get on the two lane exit ramp for Firestone. Me in the back, him in front of me, and some other white car in front of him (all on the left lane). As he pulls to the right lane in hopes of getting around the white car, the white car slooowly merges to the right lane still getting in front of the eg (don't you just hate that? White car probably didn't even look over the shoulder before the lane change)...so with the lane clear, I go forth on the left lane. As I pass the white car, the eg6 immediately goes back on my lane (initially tailgating me), and follows me to the end before the bank

now I've had fun with this offramp for the past 4 years (its near my gf's house). I like to practice my heal-toe at the end... so of course, at this time, I do the same and try to grip the turn (not stupidly agressive, don't get me wrong).

as I near the end of the corner, all of a sudden, I hear "eeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" while I glance in my rear view mirror and see an HID beam shooting a 360 (kinda like Cyclops from X-men)..

I make a complete stop and I look back and there I see the red eg6 facing the freeway (red circle below). LUCKILY he didn't hit the wall or any other car...

so he puts it in reverse, and 3-points his way down the ramp to make a right onto Firestone Blvd while I'm still in awe staring at him like WTF just happened! I chuckled a bit cuz I'm staring at him, but he doesn't want to turn his head to look at me.

I don't think he was even trying to race me or anything because after he tailgated me to get in front of the white car, he kept a very safe distance while I headed forward.

anyways, I make a left onto Firestone and me and the crazy red eg6 part ways...

now as I head down Firestone Blvd, a couple blocks later (before Studebaker Rd), ANOTHER eg6 pulls up next to me out of no where! All I noticed when looking at his car that it was flat black, lowered, c pillar bar, rear tie bar, and exhuast...Now lets not forget, this is still considered rush hour traffic... so I'm cruising, and he cruises next to me for a while then slows down...

then traffic clears up and out of no where "VAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" (that's my vtec sound impression lol)... and he zooms right past me only to slow down a couple car lengths ahead of me.As I get closer to his car... guess what I noticed. the frekkin dude has a child seat in the back and a little suction-cup sign that says "Baby on Board"

DUDE WTF?

anyways, by this time, I get to my destination, so I don't even bother saving face or anything...

that's pretty much my story of the crazy eg6's I encountered that night. But if you live or ever been to Paramount, Whittier, Pico Rivera, Downey, Southgate area... you'd know its a very common thing with honda drivers (no offense to those that aren't idiots).

I live in Long Beach... and no one really tries to street race or anything here. Its all just a bunch of fix gear riders everywhere...

but as SOON as I step into anywhere North of the 91 freeway... street racers EVERYWHERE

oh and btw, if that was your red eg6 (paint was a little faded, black hood might I add) or flat black eg6 with the baby on board sign...

How did the first EG6 manage to SPIN OUT on an off ramp? Did he pull the e-brake or something? Doesn't really make sense.

Kinda funny none-the-less.

Same here. I had one try to race me one time. I just took off to 65(speed limit) and when he catches up he yells "your car's bad a** man!" and I yell back "thanks, its stock".lol, he looked really sad after that.I saw him a few weeks later as he was turning and he clipped a curb because he was staring at me

op,funny story. very detailed might I add. that's the only down side to driving a 2 door nissan. little civics try to race you every single day

Dude I have s**t like that happen to me all the time its annoying. I mean there are so many wannabe fast and furious boys with they're civics, eg's, and TC's that one night I encountered an Eg and a civic that try and race me the same night within like ten minutes of each other. Normally they just buss by slow down then rip off like they are something hot. But this one night this one civic just wouldn't leave me alone to the point he was swerving in front of me and other traffic on the freeway just to get me to race. which made me laugh even harder when I get within a mile of my exit and floor it and he kept up for about a second until my turbo kicked in (this is when I was driving my old z31, stock btw) and bam little civic head lights in the distance. Of course I slowed down at the exit and he rolls up and yells out the window "Man you ain't even worth my time" and drives off. lol Its sad and no I dont think street racing is cool its stupid but this guy was annoying and dangerous so I took my self out of the problem.

On my way to work when I was in WA, I'd have a Camaro Z28 and Grand Prix GXP try to race me on numerous occasions. It gets pretty annoying. Then there was a Cobra SVT(which I'm sure can smoke my car), that loves to show off everytime he see's my car. Burning out, fishtailing, you name it. Quite impressive, but pretty stupid considering I already know that it's a fast car. I'll normally invite those people who talks too much to the 1/4 mile track. If they're faster than me, then I give the respect where it's due, but if they're not, then they'll just feel that much stupider for talking.

I agree TCs are the new civic ricer. Everyone i see around here has either A a 16 year old guy.

B a 20 year old girl.

And they always have a custom licence plate and exterior mods only.

I had one yelling at me because i "didnt" know what i was talking about. He then made a comment like "you dont know me i bought chris rados front mounted wing" I had a good chuckle.

And you think he would have quit but no he then goes on to say that the scion TCs engine stock can put out 450-500 all day.

You gotta see what philipio experienced last week. He has an s14 zenki.

"My car set off a chain reaction at a gas station today

So I was pulling into Shell to fill up as usual. I drove by what looked like a high school kid in a Mustang GT with a loud exhaust as I was pulling through to the pump. When I got out of my car he immediately turned, looked at my car, looked me directly in the eye, revved his engine multiple times, and peeled out onto the street. An unrelated truck decided to follow suit immediately and peel out onto the street. As he was driving off, a modded tC decided to try to "drift" around the corner and almost spun out.

It was one of the biggest facepalm moments I've ever encountered."

Hey I'm 20 year old guy and I have drive a tC....I do apologize for the stupid tC drivers out there, misinformation and or lack of reading comprehension causes it. I cruise control 65mph most of the time on the freeway unless I'm late for class...

Pretty much all tC's I see now are driven by girls, if its a guy they usually just speed past, all they have done is TRD exhaust, cheap wheels, and smoked tails.

I had two kids in a stock civic constantly line up with me, he mistook my passing the car to my left so I could turn onto my street as me wanting to race .

Good story bro. Ricers think they have fast cars (some do), but it's funny howmany stupid ppl are on the streets nowadays trying to show off.

Bell. Bell Gardens and Huntington Park has its share of ricers. At least when I lived there.

OMG. Adrian.

Yesterday I was on Vincent Thomas Bridge merging onto the 110 North, and that onramp is really fun to take fast. So I came into the corner, heal-toed into 4th and started going at it. I caught up to the car in front of me, which was....... an EG6! And that fool see's me in his mirror and takes off! So I follow him and we merge onto the freeway and he just keeps on going.

So I kept on following. Eventually I slowed back down because I was over it.

But then!

I get off on the Sepulveda exit and at the bottom at the red light is another EG6! And that guy tries to race me too! WTFFFFFF!!!

Dude I'm being totally serious too. Freakin ridiculous!
