The first time I filled up my car, I decided to lock the doors as I exited... I approached the pump and tried to open the gas compartment door... LOCKED... nothing... feeling sheepish, I looked throughout the car for about 10 minutes trying to find a door release... THEIR ISNT ONE!!! After about another 5 minutes... the store clerk comes over the intercom and asks me if I need assistance. Being the proud new owner of this car, I respectfully declined his assistance and kept trying to get the damn gas door opened... then it hit me... the gas door locks internally when the car doors lock... INGENIOUS!!!! This way, your safe from gas theifs and you don't have to fiddle with a stupid key lock on your gas door, like in the past cars... (UGLY)
Long story short, you probably locked the car while the gas door was open so it reversed the mechanism... try opening the gas door then unlocking and locking the car a few times, then try shutting the gas door and doing the same... I think it's just confused... I know I was!!!!
