Redoing this post...I'm going to be buying this really soon and I'm wondering if anyone has this bottom mounted and what kind of power they're making...mostly interested in the .64 housing. I'm either going to go all out and go full race and top mount this with a vband and stay away from the internally gated one ATP sells or if someone has a good powerband with the bottom mounted one please share it...I'd like to save money for school but I really want this turbo in my setup.

we are running the GT3076R on our drift car. 575 at the wheels, but a little slow to spool so we made changes to power curve to move it down about 400 rpm...to get out of the cornners and get better TQ curve....HP droped to about 500...

Just search around for SR's running an HKS GT3037. FES SR guys were using that turbo quite a lot. The GT3037 Pro S is the exact same turbo while all other models of GT3037's have the T2 turbine housing and different compressor trims.

yeah I've got a BN GT2871r but I want more than it's capable of. Alot of guys have said moving to a 3040,3037,3071,or 3076 will slow the spool. I'm fully built top to bottom and the head is flowed and built so I'm not worried about the head not being able to take the flow. What do you recommend for the best powerband to hp ...ok let me rephrase that which of the four do you think spools faster that I listed while retaining max hp? Because I don't get these turbos handed to me ...it's kinda like once it's on there and used it's staying.

I ended up selling it to someone close to me...for 1k BN of course I only had 400 in it....shhh..behold the power of junkyard hopping in TN ...you can buy 5 lugs and all four corners on z32's for dirt f'in cheap...and when I mean dirt cheap...I mean dirt cheap...but unfortunately they've caught on here lately. I traded some 5 lugs to a garrett distributor/shop in NE TN plus 350 cash for the 2871r...before they raised the prices for the distributors. I think Ben is really happy with the turbo...and from what I saw after he put it on ...that mf'er spooled quick...even though it was the .86 it was impressive...let's just say that ***** took off out of the parking garage like a bat out of hell.

so it's been a good amount of time for the development and testing for this turbo...how has everyone been doing on power and response. I just got my 3" intercooler piping done today ...still gotta break in the motor...and then I'll be buying one of the 3076's ....so just trying to gauge how people's results have faired.

yeah the gt2871r is good ****. I am at 17.5psi by around 4000 RPM. Which is the very start of the turbos efficiency range. the .64 though will get you into the 350hp range easily. the .86 is good for 440hp.

HA! and when i pulled out of that parking garage that was on a badly slipping clutch and running rich! just wait until i swap it into my new 240!

I still wanna ride Ben. haha...By the way I'm getting really pissed off right now @ MSL...my coilovers were supposed to arrive yesterday ...and they still haven't shown up today... I have no tracking number nor are they answering the phone ...I'm starting to really get ticked.....But anyway again ...anyone's results with the 3076 ..would be great.
