Saw an Altima coupe with a factory spoiler today. It was a Black 2.5 6-Speed at a dealership in Conyers GA. They said they had just got it in. The spoiler looks very much like the one on the G 35. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera with me; I would have taken a photo. The sales person said the spoiler would be a separate dealer installed option. Hopefully, someone will post a picture, or it will be on Nissans website. I know I want one on my coupe when I get one. T C

Finally a picture with the spoiler!!! $176 unpainted and $266 painted. What do you guys think??? Im not sure if I'm feeling it, I mean I've always had a spoiler on every car I've own.

Here is where I found the pictures.http://www.cardata.com/spoiler...s.htm

What's the point? It's not like this car is a purebred racing car that needs the rear end to be pushed down. It's not even RWD.

That,s not the spoiler I saw. The one at the dealership is wider . It looks just like the G-35 spoiler, but is made to fit the Altima coupes trunk. TC

I think most people buy spoilers just for looks, not performance. I personally don't like spoilers on non sport cars, its like a bald guy with a toupee. Some cars look good with spoilers thou, I don't think the Coupe is one of them.

Just another excuse to turn this car into a 'ricer'

eh...it looks okay. But yeah, what's the point of putting a spoiler on a FWD car...

On most streetcars spoilers and wings are for looks. You have to reach speeds of close to 100 MPH for these devises to take effect. However, at racing speeds a wing can benefit a FWD car. Look at the Acura TSX and the Mazda 6 as raced in SCCA, s Speed World Challenge, Touring car class. A car in cross-section is an airfoil shape, particularly a fastback coupe. This creates lift on the rear. Their wings are to counter-act lift over the rear window and trunk area. If you have a spoiler or wing on a streetcar it is just to give it a sporty look. Some cars look good with them some don’t. I liked the one I saw yesterday on the Altima coupe. , I my go by and see if they will let me take a picture and post it. If some body does not post a picture soon Speaking of Speed World challenge, The Mid-Ohio TC race will be on Speed TV at 3:00 PM today. T C

i think it looks really good, it goes with the trunk lines and, i mean, at least its not a chunk of aluminum 20 feet in the air right?

personally I like the stock spoiler for the sedan better..(which is why i got one..heh). I dont like those little spoilers...reminds me of those ugly Taurus ones they used to have for the Fords...just my opinion

The Altima Coupe is elegant as is. Please don't transform this car into a ricer.

Why is it that putting a spoiler on a car makes it ricey? If you find the right spoiler, you can make the car look much nicer. Do you guys think that the spoiler on the G35 is ricey? no. So what's different about putting one, that looks similar to the one on the G35, onto the Altima coupe. If someone puts a spoiler that is like a foot above the car, then yes its ricey, but the one in the picture isn't ricey at all. Actually, I think that it's a little too small. If they made a spoiler that looked like the one that they had on the '04 G35 coupes, I think that would look great.

yea the Altima coupe has great lines, but I think that it could look even sweeter with the right spoiler. But as the saying goes "to each their own"

Carlos, I do agree that the coupe is elegant however I have to agree with coupelover. A spoiler wont always rice a car up. The key is finding the RIGHT spoiler. It all ends up depending on what the owner likes. Whats ugly to one person could be beautiful to another. Thats why when I stated that the stock spoiler for the coupe doesnt look right, I also added thats just my opinion.

I put a stock spoiler on my sedan and I dont think its riced up at all. I get nothing but complements on the car...oh well... this is all my opinion :P

I like the sedan's spoiler, but the coupe's just doesn't look right. Yes, the G35's spoiler does look very nice, but it is a factor I think of the color options and rims, they all have to match to make a car look right. I wouln't put one on mine, but it is a personal choice of course. I still love this car .

I definitely do not like the spoiler on that coupe. It looks way too riced up. However, I do like how the black rims match the black color.

Right now there is a black 2.5 coupe with a different spoiler on it on Autotrader.com (There is only one pic, so hard to compare)Looks better than the one pictured above.

No a bunch of dealers have coupes listed on Autotrader.com

I go there to look at different coupes to figure out what options/colors I'm going to get in a few months.

There are so many cars to look at, I can spend hour online, just looking at pics!

U-G-L-Y! Too riced up. At least the other spoiler is more subtle because it is directly on the trunk. This spoiler is lifted into the air...what's the point?

I have always been a fan of putting a spoiler on a sporty car, but after picking up my coupe today I'd have to agree with all of you that say that it doesn't need it. It really is a beautiful car and doesn't need a spoiler put on it. It is awesome just the way it is.

Well said. The coupe's rear design is rather distinct and differentiates itself from the Altima sedan, G35 coupe, and 350Z. Keep it different without the unnecessary conformity.

I agree. The new coupe doesn't need a spoiler.08 Coupe's have such a sweet ***; I'm going to name mine after my woman. Personally, I think the new coupe has one of the most distinct body styles in many years. I am looking forward to future body kits, however. When I get my coupe, after tint I am definitely going to add a chrome mesh grill--that's for sure.

The dealer installed spoilers I saw here in Dallas were around $795 installed. Way too much IMO.

Now this is how the back of my Coupe looks, of course, without a spoiler. The spoiler just doesn't match the Altima Coupe.
