ATF replace power steering fluid? :O

I was at the meet the other day and someone said that they use ATF (automatic transmission fluid) so the power steering won't leak...

what do you guys think of this? is there any danger in doing this?

I asked because my power steering is leaking and it still leaks with new washer and clamp. How would I proceed about this?

ATF is power steering fluid pretty much...

it has been said that power steering fluid finds ways to leak out of teh system.

ATF is what nissan recommends to use for power steering system.i use it.you should use it.

yah when i had my new rack i had them switch the p/s fluid to the red stuff. I didn't do it becuase people said to do it or are doing it. But because the FSM says to use ATF
