Has anyone had any experience with the ATEQ Quickset TPMS Reset tool? I was browsing through TireRack, and i stumbled across it. It looks like we are now able to re-sync our TPMS without having to go to the dealership.

The only downside is that it doesn't scan for a sensor's ESN; you have to manually enter it into the tool. Not a deal breaker for me though. Needless to say, one is on its way to my doorstep. Its been about 2 years waiting, but I will finally be able to sync up the sensors for my aftermarket wheels. Yippee.

I purchased an Ateq Quickset tool for my Coupe(s). It will read and write sensor information to the Nissan ECU. It will not activate and read directly from the sensor. You can read the valid information from the car via the OBD port for the OEM wheels. Store this information as summer. You can then mount the aftermarket wheels, have the dealer reset the TPMS, then read and store this information as winter. You can then write the information to the ECU when you change from OEM to aftermarket. Take Note: When you read the sensor information from the Altima ECU it will be in HEX format. When you write the information to the Car's ECU it must be in Decimal format. You will have to convert the 6 digit Hex number to an 8 digit Decimal number to upload it to the Altima ECU. A scientific calculator will perform this function.

How many 'sets' of TPMS information can this device store?

Edit: Nevermind, the link says up to 4 vehicles.http://www.tirerack.com/access...D=163

2 "sets" per vehicle, 4 vehicles. If you have more than that you can use one vehicle as a read/write, do not store the information in the software, write it down on a piece of paper, store it in Xcel, etc. The main thing is the ability to read and write to the vehicle CPU. You can also manually edit the sensor information, for instance if you replace a sensor.

The strange thing is that it says that vehicles can not be removed from the tool or software.

Yes, it does say that in the instructions. There is 4 locations for different vehicle sensor information, once you save a car in a location the instructions indicate you cannot overrite it with another car. I have 2 Altima coupes each with 2 sets of sensor data stored. The other 2 locations I have used on other cars without storing the information. They still remain open and available for any vehicle.
