at what psi is normal oil pressure?

Hey. I just recently had my '89 240 HB swapped with s13 redtop, with s15 turbo and Tomei cams.

I'm sure my oil pressure gauge isn't working properly, because it's shooting up and down.

How can I check if I'm getting proper oil pressure without the gauge telling me what it is?

Replace the gauge.

Idle should be around 2 bar when warm, 4-5 bar when at 4000 RPM or so.

at 3000 rpm normal temp, oil pressure should be above 55 psi, and at idle more than 8 psi

also depends on the weight of your oil. i use 15-50 and its at 4 bar cold@i idle. and about 1.5 bar warm @idle
