AT to MT conversion

ok everyone i once again need your infinate knowledge. I am new to the nissan realm. I am in the process of swaping my 97 max SE from its old tired vq30 to the vq35 and also from the AT to a MT and I was wanting to know if I would be able to put in the 6spd transmission that the 02 max have in them or do I need to stay with the 97 and find a 5spd. Also it would be greatly appreciated if anyone can send me a link to a write up of what parts you need to do the AT - MT swap.

Well from looking around a bit the 6 speed swap has been done in the 4th gens...however it seems like entails a lot of time and work.

So if you really wanna, search around and I'm sure you'll find it done (try google)

Other wise I'm sure you could just stay with the 5spd, save some work, money and time so you have your car up and running. Once you run it for a while then you could think about a 6spd swap.

Just my $.02.

Also...once you start your build (if you haven't already) post up a build thread to document your swap...it would be interesting to see!!
