Hey Guys, so I am sitting at the dealership right now and I was wondering if anyone has had any type of similiar issues... I have a 2010 coupe with the BOSE speakers. My rear passenger side speaker makes a scratching sound when I play certain types of music. To me it sounds like its blown. Anything with a lot of Base and you cannot hear the noise, however, anything with higher frequency sounds like news reports, talk radio, etc. you hear the sound much worse. They have already tried replacing the speaker with a brand new one and it did not fix the issue, any suggestions? Thanks,

huh that's interesting... I haven't modified anything to the system. They are examining the wiring right now to see if there is some type of issue there. I'll let you know if they find a resolution

I have heard of this issue before.... I would search the forum for it. I think it was something about needing a new fuse... but I could be wrong.

I tried searching but couldn't find anything... my tech thinks he found a solution. He thinks its the speaker grille that is causing the noise. Apparently its the vibration from the Bose symbol, it must not be fitting properly. They ordered me a new one, hopefully that will do the trick or I'll have to look further into this fuse issue

Yeah if you hear it with only high end (or vice versa for that matter) its because something is vibrating at a resonant frequency. Blown speaker would sound like mud at all frequencies.
