There is no code 56 is there... I'm thinking is must just be an extra blink when throwing a 55. Meh...

I think I just miscounted and it was 5 long 5 short, but I'll double check tomorrow. Issue is it bogs down almost like a fuel cut when I get on it above 3kish, not MAFS though because I can let off a little and it will stop and I can rev it higher. Was driving fine and then just started doing that, was near 1/4 tank at the time so I figured I'd fried the Walbro or something, but if I'm just cruising it will drive ok, until I hit the gas then sometimes it even will bog/buck under 3k. Also revs fine when idling, another interesting point. It's got me kind of confused, I'm going to check for a boost leak tomorrow but it doesn't seem like that's it to me also cleaned out the IACV again today just because, so that's not an issue.

Yeah, definitely not a TPS issue, thing I've tracked down the problem in part anyway. Car died today a mile from the shop by the way... Anyhow, thinking it was the alternator I charged the battery and drove it to the shop. Charged two batteries and started home, noticed that I could actually here sparks from the ignition harness and it would have the issue at the same point I could here it shorting in the harness and the brake and battery light would flicker on... looks like something got screwed up when the turbo timer went in last week... so pulling that out tomorrow and seeing what happens. Thanks as always for the suggestions guys!

Yeah I still think the alternator is junk too. Time to go do some searching on that Quest alternator I guess.

If it saves you anytime, the quest alternator goes in the like the ka alternator, you just slot the tension bracket and it goes right in!
