1993 240sx coupe with original KA24DE200k+ milesZ32 MAFSS-AFC II370cc injectors

Here's the story.

1. Washed engine bay (covered alternator, distributor)2. Car drove kinda rough on the way home3. Drove car later that night and mysteriously Cylinder #2 stopped firing4. Changed plugs, firing problem went away.5. Did a compression check for the hell of it, 195 across the board

Its firing on all 4 now, but as soon as I get on the gas, the car slows waay down. Feels like severely retarded timing. Starts up, idles, and cruises absoloutly perfectly. I checked the timing and its where it should be. It does make boost, but boost builds VERY slowly and doesnt seem to actually make power. I removed my aftermarket ignition system to keep it out of the equasion. Didnt fix anything. The ignition has a dial to retard timing and out of boredom I've turned the dial a few times while cruising and it feels 100% like thats whats happening. I also tried unplugging my knock sensor. Didnt make any improvement. I also tried a different MAFS, didnt help. Tried bypassing the FMIC, didnt help.

Brought the car to the shop. They are clueless, but said they 'messed with the timing' and its a bit faster. I havent inspected it yet, but I can guarantee they just advanced the hell out of it. It detonates everywhere it goes now. Car is parked now of course. They suggested the car is running lean, but its not. I tried adding fuel and it didnt help at all. Ive already got a very rich tune on it.

It sounds crazy, but I have a strange suspicion that something is wrong with my wastegate, so Im gonna inspect it (PITA).

--ANY-- ideas appreciated. Thanks!

is it just when you 'get on it' or at WOT?

have to checked to make sure everything with your throttle cable and TPS are up to speed?

only other thing that comes to mind is some kind of wierd trapped moisture, but that would have been gone by now considering the time elapsed.

I forgot to mention, its been about 3 weeks since the engine bay cleaning.

TPS is working normally as is the MAFS. Checked it with the AFC readout.

Oh this happens anytime I 'get on it'..even just a little bit. Any acceleration thats not 'very light' makes this happen. If the tach gets its reading from the CAS, then its working fine too.

Even at idle, if I rev it very hard I can tell a slight difference in how it feels now.

The power loss is smooth. It doesnt make stuttering sounds or smoke that I can notice from inside the car.
