Assitance with MSD 6a Install

I have a 93 240sx convertible, I followed the write up that I found here on the site, i also did the test recommended on msd site and get a small spark however once I plug it up to the distributor the car cranks but no spark at all.

Anyone run into this problem? let me know if you did and what you did to fix it.

are you using a tach adapter? the box will not work on a 240 with out one... Its the box new? Or used previously ona 4cyl..?let me know what your doing im sure I can help I had the same box on my 92 coupe...

Well its a vert, if thats of any issue. I read that KA24DE's didnt need the tach adaptor.

The box is used, it was on my bros S12, and well I inherited it for the time being. I have no issue with it sparking when I do the spark test. The problem is once I plug it to the distributor, there is no spark.

I went according to writeup:

thick cables red/black to both +, - of batteryOrange and black to pos, neg of blaster 2 coil.thin red to black/red stripe of coil harnessthin white to lime green/red stripe of coil harness

and voila.... according to MSD it should be working lol. The box chirps when I do the test but not once fully connected.

well i had mine working perfectly fine ...YOU NEED A TACH ADAPTERare you using the white wire out of the msd?also isnt the s12 a 6 cyl? if the box was on a 6cyl ignition it wont work on your car.But you can make it work that philips head on the side holding lika cap you take it off and move some wires arround to make it a 4cyl ignition box..my s13 didnt work without the tach adapter you need it....

Ok i got the tach/fuel adapter, and still not working. Anyone here in the San Jose bay area running one of these can help me out? I can pay you for your time if need be, but I just wanna get this stupid thing running.

So does anyone know how to install this stupid thing? or how to make it work? I get no spark once plugged into the dist. so what could be wrong? I get a small spark or atleast a spark and chirping out of the box when I do the spark test. So what the hell am I doing wrong?
