I am gonna need the 100,000 mile service on my G35 Coupe 6MT very soon.

Is it best to take it to the Infiniti dealer (highway robbery I am sure) or to another local mechanic.

If I go local mech, are their any recommendations? Who is reputable and who will be fair? I just don't wanna go to the dealer just because I don't know of anyone else in town.

I am not ready to start doing all this by myself because I am not confident enough yet. Please help me out.

Not sure what is included in the 100k service. You may want to check with the dealer then call around to compare.

There are a few members in AZ, including our site owner.

The 101250 mile maint sched calls for oil, filter and inspection.

Go through the schedules preceding that to see if you've missed anything.

The maintenance record is sketchy at best. I am the 4th owner since the car was originally bought. The only thing I know for sure is the brakes have been checked and the stock intake replaced with a Z Tube. I know nothing else.

The car was very clean when I got it. The engine bay was very clean. There were no ragged or exposed wires. The hoses were all good. The belt looks good. The brakes work great. The tires had little to no wear on them. The paint was smooth and bright with some minimum scratches etc. The only "body work" I would consider, besides an all out repaint which is down the line, is having the rear spoiler either removed and the trunk repaired to cover the holes, or the spoiler repainted.

I have scheduled to have all the fluids changed out, the plugs replaced, the radiator flushed, the front end aligned, and the belt replaced. I found a few places in town that specialize in Japanese and other Asian brands, but I just have no idea.

In the future I plan to do most if not all my maintenance on the car, but I am unsure at this moment.

Welcome to Nico

I did my first major service at 106,682 miles. This work was done at the dealer as I do not trust any independent shops to work on my G.

You should probably compare prices between the dealer and other shops for the work you are going to have done.
Here in NJ many shops have an hourly labor rate close to what the dealer charges. I've had very good luck at my dealer and have been very happy with their work. Plus I get a almost new loaner to drive.

Here is a photo of my original plugs at 106682 miles.

In addition to new plugs I also had a coolent flush, belts replaced, and the throttle body cleaned.
Oil, oil filter, and air filter are the most important items for service
I'm still on my original clutch, and the transmission and differential fluids and have no intention of changing them.
Waste of money in my opinion.
I had new brake pads and the rotors turned at 82k miles
49 oil changes so far and will hit the 160k mile mark tomorrow

@ Telcoman, I sure hope I can get as much out of my car as you have! If I can hold on to her for another 6 or so years, I feel I have made a wise investment.

I have really become attached to my car.

BTW, while we are talking, are their any opinions on what type of shift knob to replace the original with? My original has so much wear on the leather and I really don't wanna fork out nearly 100$ for an OEM shift knob. Just wondering.
