I cannot wait for this game. I have been watching it for at least a year. The Prince of Persia style acrobatics and the combat system look like they are worth the $60 alone. Add in the beautiful graphics, incredible draw distance, and massive cities filled to the brim with NPCs (with no slowdown, as is apparent in the demo) and you've got the best game of the year. Well, I hope at least. Who else is going to buy it?

I'll be buying it. I hope it's as good as they make it out to be.

Yup, 2 more weeks. I remember hearing they had problems fitting onto the xbox360 disc but whatever. I asked about it the other day while picking up Halo 3.

haha I know what you mean. I bought Halo last weekend and I've only played it twice for a total of 2 hours. Got pwned by college and work.

I saw some gameplay today on attack of the show, and it had rekindled my NEED for this game. I just need to figure out how to get 55 bucks (got it preorderd with $5 down bishez!) in time. Ill be trading in games/borrowing money to afford it. But i NEED to play this game.

edit: does anyone have any idea of how long the game is, because i dont want to buy it and have it over in a few hours (like call of duty 4 only being 6 hours).

The reviews are starting to come in! http://www.gameinformer.com/Ga...2.htm a 9.5 from GameInformer. Famitsu gave it a 37/40, but since I'm sure no one can read Japanese (I sure as hell cant) I wont post the link.

I am so mad. I go into the store to get it. They were like "Tomorrow" and i was like but it came out today, and they said "It shipped today and they will have it tomorrow, games rarely come out on the release date"

I began to remember all the games i bought recently that came out on tuesday and thought maybe his version of rarely is like almost all new releases BUT this one.

I did the same thing today, I figured they might have gotten it this evening. Oh well hafta wait until tomorrow. I'll be picking up Kane and Lynch as well. Another sick looking game IMO.

The game's commercial was so long. But that did it for me. I'm gonna go out and get one when available.

Yeah, I was actually able to get it yesterday. Didnt play it till after the Pistons game (and they are on the other coast this week) but I played it till almost 6AM this morning. It's addictive. I love jumping around the roofs. The one thing I see reviewers bashing is the repetitiveness, but even after 5 hours of constant playing it didnt feel bad at all (and I did ALL the possible sidequests). I still wanted to play more, but I was getting too tired.

Its fun finding the flags too. Gives you more incentive to explore.

I just love the feel the game gives you. It feels very real, like you are actually running around Jerusalem in the 12th century. The ONLY thing I have against this game so far is the audio from some of the civilians. They sometimes dont have much to say, but they dont mind repeating it over and over. Since you're usually on the move, this isnt really a problem.

I'm loving it so far.

Got it today, Liking it so far. The only complaint i have is

SPOILER ALERT!..........

.Is the stupid story about you being inside your head "unlocking" memories. And those parts where you are just walking around in the lab as that other guy. Its really lame and i think the game didnt need any huge twist like that. Also all the voice acting is GREAT, except for the main character, when he talks its a joke.

I have the best tactic for escaping the city alert after an assassination. Get up on a tall roof next to a roof garden. Wait for the 10 or so soldiers to catch up. Systematically throw them one by one off the roof. When they are all dead, hide in the roof garden.

Just make sure you arent too close to the ledge yourself. If you're too close to the ledge you can fall from an attack, even if you block it.

I kinda like the sci-fi twist. It adds another element to the game. I think the only reason they added it in is to prolong the story into a sequel (it's rumored to be a trilogy) , but I dont mind it. I think the story would be pretty dull otherwise.

And the voice acting is pretty good. Altair talks like that for a reason

Ive been reading about what all you guys have to say about the game, but one point you didnt cover is how long the game is, like anti flag said i dont wanna buy it if its gonna be a short game, like Fable was for the original Xbox.

I have heard different things from each review i read, gamepro said that it could take 20 hours for just the story, plus more to do everything there is to do in the game, IGN and another said 10-15 hours depending on how you play it. I know those are 2 very different numbers but its something right?

I have played for at least 15 hours and I'm about 2/3 of the way through the story. It could be longer than Im predicting though. I know you have 9 major assassinations to do, but there is probably other stuff at the end. I would say most people would take at least 20 hours to beat it. I'm doing all the side missions too.

It's really fun.
