I wanted to know how to install a nitrous pressure gauge in a gauge pod? I already have one on the tank in the trunk, but I didnt know how to go about putting a second one in the gauge pod. is there an electrical gauge I can put in that reads the signal from someplace else, or do I have to run the nitrous line all the way up to the pillar and then back down through the firewall into the enging bay

yes actually, there is an electric gauge you can buy. i believe it connects to a sender that is inline with your nitrous supply line. i just installed a mechanical gauge to my brothers 240 on his dash and i used a t fitting and a short line to run from the gauge to his nitrous solenoid. -4 lines is what you need. my dad bought me the same gauge and its sitting in my brothers room waiting to be installed in my altima. looks pretty good. you can go this route unless youre worried about a leaking line in your cab, but im not too worried about it. imho, the electrical gauge looks neat, but too "80's" with its red digital readout.

im gonna research the electrical one. I want to keep the gauge thats on the bottle there too. plus I would rather not run lines right by my head that could rupture or blow up.

by your head? honestly i dont see how the lines can blow up... if the pressure reaches that high, there is a relief valve on the bottle itself... any other time, the bottles valve will probably be closed... are you talking about a pod on your pillar maybe? if you are, then actually, that wont work because of the line coming out of the back of the gauge.but here you go, i did the work for you. :)http://www.dynotune.org/store/...ct=21

i saw that on another site. Im sure you know which one, even though Im suppose to not be allowed there anymore ;)

But i was talking on the pillar pod, but now that I think of it, I think I will save that for the turbo boost and some more vital gauges once I get this kit made

yeah pillar pod probably wouldnt be too good an idea for a nitrous gauge... perfect for a vacuum line though... did you see all of the other stuff available on that page?

youll need a fuel solenoid and the lines (supply line and t fitting)for it. youll also need a shark style nozzle. not necessarily that brand, but a nozzle that can spray both fuel and nitrous. thats really about it... oh yeah, and jets. the little bastards are pricey too. i think thats about it, if i think of something else, ill post it...

i emailed that dyno tune site, and they sent me a list. They suggested I sell my dry kit on ebay, and buy their wet kit for for $199 so I will have all the parts and not have to spend too much money unless I dont sell my kit for much

did you see the bottle warmer setups? you can order just the element itself... could be something to think about too.

that is what you use for a bottle heater? that is too funny. I used to use a heating pad until I got the heater. Needless to say, that didnt get hot enough to do a damn thing. the NOS heater I have now, is the ****. But once you are low on the gas, you it wont heat up anywhere pass 600psi

lol, i dont normally have a problem with bottle pressure, this being arizona and all, but lately, its been cold here. so, the hotass water in a 5 gallon bucket does the trick in about 10 minutes and then i wrap it with a towel. as long as my back seat is in the upright position, i dont have a problem with it losing pressure. :D
