oh yeah I forgot all about those buggers and I met a guy that did a frankenmotor buildup with one, basically turbo'd the 2.0 with the 1.8 head, wonder what happened to that car...?

So I guess mine is JDM Frank with a ca18det block and a ca18et head in my 200sx then right?

the det bottom end different from the et bottom end? all the CA's I've played with were carb'd and single cam

and they were all domestic market, I'm not impressed enough with the jap market to get up off my american dollars to buy into it

I think the DET bottom end is a bit stronger than the ET, but I have no proof of that. On the earlier ET blocks (85-86), the oil lines and water lines for the turbo were on the pass side and came around the block. While the DET in my car has oil passenges coming directly out of the block. It just makes it nice and clean, nothing special. I didn't do the swap, it came with the car.
