With child #2 on the way, we're going to have to depart with my wife's 2008 Altima Coupe (2.5 S, manual, 95k miles, convenience package). Great condition inside and out. No mods aside from window tinting. I've had a couple folks at my dealer remark that I should get a premium price for the car because it has the (they say rare and sought after) manual transmission. Edmunds estimates the private party value as $7.3k and dealer retail as $8.9k.

Any advice on what my asking price should be?

My advice would be come up with a bottom dollar. Then ask 1000 to 1500 more than what you'll take. People will talk you down, give them room to do so without losing money and everyone wins. I def wouldn't take less than seven. Prob 8k, so ask 9 and see what you get for bites.

Thanks justseller! So you wouldn't expect to get much, if any, above the Edmunds estimate based on what I've got?

Always go for the most. You can always get more, just depends on how quick you have to unload it. Throw it on the market for 10 and see what happens. Always start high. If you have some time, see what you get for offers.
