Me? I do not beleive I am guilty of profiling anyone. I just posted what is common knowledge. Cops equate a black or white, "thug" looking person/kid with trouble. By this equation, almost 50% of the population that is under 18 is trouble .AZhitman wrote:By the way, since YOU have already mentally assigned a race and age to all three of the above examples (admit it, I know you did, it's our nature), YOU are guilty of profiling.
. It seems that one of our "elders"(Squeefoo) has steped up to the plate for basically what I believe to be true. It is a sad situation when your fellow "neighbors" will nark on you at the drop of a hat.squeefoo wrote:The checkin crap these Unionized HSA goons make everybody dance around for is just window dressing. There are so many ways into and out of airports it's disgusting. Any smart terr isn't going to bother with that anymore. The only problem with ingress/egress to an airport is all these lemmings running around with cellphones ready to narc on anybody for anything. There are much easier targets to hit with more wide-ranging damage possible.
Welcome to Big Brother it's your neighbor or fellow countryman with a cellphone capable of documentary evidence (picture), cell tower triangulation (location), and instant access to all the gung-ho cops ready to show anybody (who doesn't toe the myriad of laws designed to remove your liberties) what you should really fear... the power of those who know what's "good" for you (911) Not the date.
Make applesauce.AZhitman wrote:*sigh*I think the only remedy for the affliction you're experiencing is time.
Just like you can't put 10 bushels of apples into a 5-bushel basket, it's hard to cram 35 years of experience into a 17-year old head.
Hmmm... You should start carrying around a handhelp pocket version of the constitution.andrave wrote:And that gives them an excuse to pull them over and search their cars, check their **** out.blah.
OMG! You have ever right to question and/or talk to the police officers.gabossie wrote:I'll never generalize to say that all cops are crooked, or even that a large persentage of them are. BUT, most of them do have a power complex of some sort. I've never had anything but trouble with cops, sometimes I was doing things I shouldn't have, sometimes I wasn't. Nothing I ever did though, could have possibly shown that I would be violent, or cause them a problem, and I've always done my best to cooperate, only resisting through language (not vulgar or aggressive). It seems though, that they preffer violence to lingual transgretion. I've been hit, had my head snapped back by means of my hair, etc., all the while being told to shut up, stop talking, stop asking questions. I must say, they leave a bad taste after each experience. The last time I was pulled over, I knew I was in the wrong because I was driving on a suspended license. I of course cooperated completely, trying to be as friendly as possible. They simply wouldn't have it, they continually threatened to send me in for other charges of which they had no grounds. After all was said and done and I was waiting for my ride, I tried to have a friendly conversation with the male officer, and he immediatly went back to threatening me with modified exhaust, blah, blah, blah. I mean, come on... you're already towing my car, I'm being nice, can't we ****ING CALL IT A NIGHT!!!... nope, he continued to belittle me and threaten me until my ride showed up.
I don't like cops, but I give them a chance every time I encounter one. They always make me dislike them more. I still see them as a necessity though, and hope that if I need them one day, they will conduct themselves more properly.

Amendment 4 states, " The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Specifically read what I put in Bold. They Must State exactly what they are looking for. If they happen to find something else that they were not looking for, it is classified as wrongful search and seizure.
Here's the website I got info about the Terry vs. Ohio CaseNY94J30 wrote:Read what I've put in bold, and then also read Terry v. Ohio and its line. Nowhere does the 4th A say that warrantless searches are unreasonable. You probably shouldn't be giving legal advice quite yet.
Once again, it sounds like he was verbally threatning you! By "hard way", did he mean that he was going to rip you out of the car?gabossie wrote:I don't know the answer to this, but I was asked once to have my vehicle searched, for NO reason whatsoever (he said he smelled pot). I told him that I would prefer not, and that I would like to get home because it was already late. He told me that we could do it the hard way or the easy way. I was down to go the hard way since I had nothing and he had no reason to be doing this to me, but he got a more important call and left. Of course, not before throwing my registration, license, and proof of insurance through the car. I just don't understand why it's so hard for them to be polite, when I am.
I hate when people make up answers and post them on the internet without qualification as if they are actual knowledge. Of course it is one's job to qualify any source, but it irritates me nonetheless. Having watched Magnum P.I. or Law & Order in no way qualifies you to interpret the Constitution.PoorManQ45 wrote:Hmmm... Yes, I did say interpret. If the law weren't malleable and interpretational it would be static, circumstantial and useless. Think before you speak.PoorManQ45 wrote:Heehhe. You said "Interpret". Isn't that what a liers(lawyers) job is...LOL...
That's one of the dumbest things you've said yet. Give me a pin cite of any case in which any justice said any such thing.PoorManQ45 wrote:According to the Supreme Court.... The Constitution is not a definitive document, and can be construed to ones will as long as one can present enough Bull$hit to make ones interpretation seem logical
This part was actually said by either the supreme court, or one of the founding fathers. The rest of it, I just through that in for the heck of it .PoorManQ45 wrote:Heehhe. You said "Interpret". Isn't that what a liers(lawyers) job is...LOL...
