Well, I've been toying with adding cruise control onto an automatic car that's been converted into a manual car. Has anyone successfully done this? I've gone as far as to put all the ASCD components back in, mess with some of the inhibitor wiring, and I still don't have success on making it run.

Wait a sec, Bart asking for info instead of giving it? He's always the guy with the answers!!!

I'll check on my ASCD to make sure it still works and let you know...

I have converted 2 S13s from auto to manual. I don't have reverse lights because I'm too lazy to wire them up. I do have cruise control on both. They also both came with cruise control factory. Did you bypass the neutral saftey switch. Nick

the N/S switch is jumpered. I swapped all the components from a car with working cruise control and still no go. I pulled the inhibitor relay thinking that it was completing the cancel circuit. Still no go.

Remember that with the convertible wiring, I have the park circuit of the inhibitor jumpered so the top will function.

The car in question had cruise control from the factory but the previous owner had said the cruise control failed. I swapped the control box, the selenoid, the actuator, and the steering wheel face with no luck.

This basically narrows it down to wiring.

Yeah it sounds like you have done everything but wire the whole thing completely. I would start checking grounds because I hate wiring. Nick

the grounds were fine. The one thing that threw me was that the auto control unit connected to the ASCD box with two wires. A green/white and a yellow. The green/white seemed to be a power source. The yellow I could only assume was a ground.
