my statements about the exposure and disposal are all fact, so no I can't offer a conclusive answer, but I'd be less worried about the sound deadening than I am about all the other asbestos still on classic cars or ducting in buildings
Touche, Mon Ami
Just saying I'd like to know not too worried about it if it kills me Familia vould be Vich !
And also the transmission tunnel and firewall insulation/deadening provide both sound & heat shielding
asbestos was used to shield heat the material looks tile like and has a tile'Ish feel to it .
Anyway ,I've decided not touch it but with hatch area(the spare tire hub sheet metal)which had some heat/sound insulation deadening tile like material . I had no choice and when I cut it up I breathed the dust and my lungs constricted and I felt as if where having an asthma attack (oh BTW I have asthma) ,been feeling pretty fatigued lately
heart been racing it's hard to breathe too ,so if it is asbestos I'd like to know I might need to stop smoking everything !
