So I was washing my car today and thought to myself let me check my tire pressure. I looked at the door sill for the recommended tire pressure. I thought that for it being a Spec V that there pressure recommendation would be higher than 35. Being an avid Auto-X driver I know that the best way to really find the right pressure for the car and tires being used it to just drive it and look at the sidewalls to check for rollover. So I have decided to go with 38 front 36 rear. But it is always nice to have a piece of mind what other people are doing with there cars.

Another question is if anyone knows how much the stock 17" rims weigh on the Spec V?

i forget the exact amount, i belive 22lbs approx.

22lbs is pretty close.

Why would you put more in the front than the rear? Grip is at a premium in the front.

I run 35/38 F/R.

I have always run higher up front if not equal in a front wheel car. This is to compensate for the more weight up front due to the engine. It helps with sidewall roll over in hard turns.

Any idea at what pressure that little light comes on at? When I got the car it was on so I put 35lbs in each corner and it went off.

Cold or hot? I've seen people post 35 somewhere around here. I assumed that was a cold temp. 35 hot is probably going to trip the light (~10% change).

Well, when I put 35lbs in it was hot. And I have not seen it come on again even when cold - So the light might even be less then 35lbs.
